Apple TV+ Hit Sci-Fi Series Returning for Season 4 (With One Big Change)

Apple TV+’s hit series “Foundation” has been making waves, but none more so than this groundbreaking show. Despite some difficulties during the production of “Foundation” Season 3, its third season was met with widespread critical acclaim upon release, and fans will be happy to know that it’s not ending here – a fourth season has been confirmed! However, when it eventually returns to your screens, expect a notable shift in its format as part of the new season.

The streaming platform Apple TV+ has announced the commissioning of a fourth season for the series “Foundation,” right before the finale of season 3 (according to THR). When the series resumes, there will be a significant shift as David Kob teams up with Ian Goldberg to jointly oversee the show going forward. This marks another transition in the showrunner role, following the departure of David S. Goyer from the show during season 3.

Season 3 Reception

The Apple TV+ series “Foundation,” inspired by Isaac Asimov’s popular novels, has been one of its biggest successes to date. In the first season, it received a 72% critical rating and a 65% audience approval on Rotten Tomatoes, but these scores significantly increased with the release of season 2, now boasting a perfect 100% critical score and an audience rating of 76%.

Although Season 3 of “Foundation” is currently being broadcasted, it has persisted through numerous production challenges to deliver another exceptional performance. With a 90% rating from critics and a series-best 78% audience score, it’s no surprise that we’re getting a fourth season.
