Ana de Armas, known for her role in John Wick, is switching gears to play a spy in a new Apple TV series. She’ll be joined by Jennifer Connelly, and fans who enjoyed Homeland will likely be excited to learn that one of its writers is working on this eight-episode show.
Okay, so I just heard some exciting news! Ana de Armas and Jennifer Connelly are teaming up for a brand new spy thriller headed to Apple TV+. It’s called Safe Houses, and it’s being written by Gideon Raff, who you might know from Homeland. I’m already intrigued – and I’ll be sure to share more details as they become available, but here’s a quick rundown of what the series is about, according to Deadline…
This eight-part series adapts a thrilling international spy novel. It begins after a top CIA officer is killed in Madrid. The story follows Sofia Jiménez (de Armas), an agent on the run who’s been blamed for the murder, and the officer’s widow, Ambassador Elizabeth Winthrop (Connelly). Both women investigate the killing, each from a different angle, and uncover a huge conspiracy that threatens global stability.
More to come.
