Whether you’re comfortable with AI-generated voices or not, ARC Raiders is generally a solid game. Players have mentioned a couple of issues – it’s hard to find a teammate and the in-game cosmetic items are quite expensive, especially since you have to pay to play the game initially. However, the game developers have been quick to address these concerns.
A recent update confirmed that Duo matchmaking was quietly turned on earlier this week. Normally, the game matches solo players with other solos and squads with squads. However, the new system first tries to pair up Duos before looking for Trios. More testing is still needed to ensure it works smoothly.
This system isn’t perfect, so you might occasionally encounter different player matchups than expected. We plan to improve it with future updates, so stay tuned for those.
Hey everyone, good news! They’re dropping the prices on cosmetics starting November 13th at 10:30 AM CET. The devs at Embark didn’t show us exactly how much cheaper things will be, but they said they’ll give us back the difference somehow – so keep an eye out for some extra Raider Tokens! But honestly, that’s not the biggest issue. A lot of us have noticed some of the premium cosmetics look… a little too similar to stuff we already have, like they just copied and pasted assets. Hopefully, they’ll address that soon too.
Good news! Players will get early access to gameplay items in the Raider Deck, giving everyone a head start. The developers also confirmed these items will only be available in the free decks, and they’re working on adding more. While more premium Raider Decks are planned, these will focus on cosmetic items and making the game easier to use, rather than giving players a gameplay advantage.
Okay, so Embark is blowing up right now – over four million people have played and over 700,000 were online just this weekend! It’s awesome to see the developers really working to keep players happy, because first impressions are huge. For those of us already hooked, we’ve got even more to look forward to: they’re dropping the Stella Montis map and two new ARC enemies later this month. Can’t wait!
