ARC Raiders: Best PvE & PvP Loadouts

In ARC Raiders, having well-equipped and optimized gear is crucial for success, whether you’re fighting AI enemies or other players.

So, both tackling the game’s story and challenges with friends (PvE) and battling other players (PvP) need a bit of a different approach when it comes to building up my character. I can try to get good gear for both at the same time, sure, but what if I really want to specialize and focus on being awesome at just one?

Well, that’s what we’ll help you out with! Read on for our loadout recommendations.

Best PvE & PvP Loadouts | ARC Raiders

PvE-Focused Loadouts

If you plan on focusing on player-versus-environment content, prioritize weapons effective against ARCs. The Hullcracker is an excellent choice if you have it.

The Hullcracker is designed specifically to destroy automated robotic constructions (ARCs). It doesn’t harm players at all, but it’s incredibly effective at taking down almost any ARC you’ll encounter, making it a clear choice for this situation.

The Equalizer and Jupiter are also excellent weapons for Player versus Environment (PvE) combat. Similar to the Hullcracker, they’re designed to quickly destroy ARCs, and that’s their main strength. However, these weapons are fairly uncommon.

As a fan, I’ve always found the Anvil and Ferro to be fantastic ships for PvE, especially when I’m trying to save some credits. They’re pretty easy to come by and don’t cost a fortune, but what I really love is how well they perform against ARCs throughout the entire game – they just consistently deliver!

The Anvil is often called the best weapon in the game because it’s affordable, lightweight, and excellent at breaking through enemy defenses. It consistently delivers high damage, making it a reliable choice for any player.

Besides weapons, be sure to bring a Medium Shield and an Augment – something like the Combat Mk. 1 is a good, affordable choice, and even its upgraded versions are reliable.

So, here’s an example of a very strong PvE-focused loadout:

  • Weapons: Hullcracker + Anvil, Anvil + Ferro, Equalizer + Anvil.
  • Augment: Combat Mk. 1 or higher. Looting Mk. 1 or higher also works if you avoid combat.
  • Other: Medium Shield, Blaze Grenades, Wolfpack Grenades, Sterilized Bandages, Shield Recharger, Photoelectric Cloak.

PvP-Focused Loadouts

In player-versus-player (PvP) combat, you don’t need to focus on increasing ARC Armor Penetration on your weapons. However, the Anvil is still an excellent weapon for PvP. It retains all of its strengths, allowing you to quickly defeat opponents at medium range.

The Ferro is also a good weapon to use in player-versus-player combat, especially when you’re starting out. It does reliable damage from a distance, letting you attack before opponents can get close.

If enemies get near you, the Venator is a fantastic option. It’s very lightweight and can deliver a lot of damage quickly in close-range player-versus-player fights. It’s a solid choice to have as a backup!

If you’re into PvP, I also really like the Vulcano and the Osprey. The Vulcano is amazing for getting up close and quickly taking down opponents, while the Osprey lets you pick people off from way across the map. Honestly, if you can afford both, they make a fantastic combo!

Okay, so as a fellow player, let me tell you about Augments – the Tactical Mk. 2 is amazing for player-versus-player combat. Basically, whenever your shield goes down, it throws out a smoke cloud. This totally messes with the other player’s view, giving you a chance to either escape and regroup, or jump in for a quick counterattack. It’s a game-changer, honestly!

If you haven’t gotten the Tactical Mk. 2 yet, the Combat Mk. 1 is a good choice to use until then. It’s a reliable Augment that does its job without any special features.

So, with all of that in mind, our recommended PvP-focused loadouts would look something like this:

  • Weapons: Vulcano + Osprey, Anvil + Venator, Ferro + Venator.
  • Augment: Tactical Mk. 2 if you have access to it. Otherwise, Combat Mk. 1.
  • Other: Light or Medium Shield, Sterilized Bandages, Shield Recharger, Smoke Grenades, Lure Grenades.

Here are our suggestions for creating strong builds for both PvE and PvP in ARC Raiders! We hope this guide helps you prepare for fighting ARCs and Raiders.
