Step 1: Head to the Scrap Yard (Dam Map)
Open your map and navigate to the Scrap Yard in the Dam region. You’ll need to find three items – Old Field Rations, a Video Tape, and a Compass – all during the same visit. Be sure you have enough room in your inventory beforehand.
Step 2: Find the Old Field Rations (Raider Camp)
First, go to the Raider Camp in the Scrap Yard. Find the small field depot building – there’s a single box inside. Open the box to find the Old Field Rations.
Step 3: Find the Video Tape (Cylindrical Containers)
Continue further into the Scrap Yard. You’ll find an area with wrecked cars and big metal cylinders. Look around the middle of this area for a small box. Open it to find the Video Tape.
Step 4: Find the Compass (Broken-Down Vehicle)
To find the last item, go to the back of the Scrap Yard. You’ll see a wrecked vehicle with junk all around it. Check next to the vehicle for a box and open it to get the Compass.
Important Tip: Pick Up the Items After Searching
Many players find this part confusing. When you search a box, the item doesn’t go into your inventory right away—it drops on the floor. Be sure to grab it manually before continuing, or your progress won’t be counted towards the quest. You need to collect all three items during a single raid to finish the objective.
