ARC Raiders’ Flashpoint Update Adds A New Laser-Toting Threat, Assessors and 3 New Weapons

The big Flashpoint update for ARC Raiders arrives tomorrow, and it’s set to be the largest content release in months for the game. As hinted at last week, the Shredders have broken free from Stella Montis and are now causing trouble across all maps. Players will also face a brand new enemy: The Vaporiser.

Picture an airborne Armored Recon Vehicle – now imagine it’s equipped with a laser. If that sounds dangerous, you’re right, especially in the new ARC Operations game mode. This mode introduces objectives like ‘Close Scrutiny,’ where most of the valuable loot is hidden inside unique, new devices called Assessors. Be warned, though – finding these Assessors will quickly attract unwanted attention from other players who also want the rewards.

Get ready for some powerful new weapons! You’ll be able to craft the Canto SMG for up-close battles, the versatile Dolabra shotgun with its two firing modes (including an electric shot), and the Surge Coil, a device that shocks enemies who get too close. There’s also a new Project to work on – the High Gain Antenna – and you can get even better loot from Scrappy by giving him specific items.
