Despite the excitement for *Battlefield 6*, shooter fans have another game to look forward to: *ARC Raiders* from Embark Studios, launching later this month. Players can get an early taste with a free, limited-time server test available on all platforms from October 17th to 19th.
You can explore the Dam Battlegrounds in the Rust Belt, complete quests, and try out the core gameplay features of this extraction shooter, like progressing and crafting. Keep in mind that any progress you make in this test won’t transfer to the final game, but you will earn a special backpack you can use when it launches.
ARC Raiders will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC starting October 30th. A new trailer showcases gameplay, showing players exploring a world after a disaster and searching for useful items. Like other games in the ‘extraction shooter’ genre, you can team up with others or compete against them, but you’ll always have to watch out for the ARC—especially the huge, robotic walkers if they spot you.
Instead of resetting player progress like other games, ARC Raiders is letting players decide how progression works. You can find more information about the Expedition Project here.
