As of mid-January, over 12.4 million copies of Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders had been sold, and recent financial reports from Nexon show that number has now reached 14 million. This success helped Nexon achieve record revenue and surpass expectations for the 2025 fiscal year.
The game also reached its highest point last month with nearly a million players online at the same time across all platforms, and currently has six million weekly players. Although player numbers on Steam have dipped recently, likely because there hasn’t been much new content, it still had over 232,000 players online at its peak in a single day. This is a much higher number than the 50,000 concurrent players seen in Battlefield 6, and the 42,000 in Call of Duty.
Okay, so ARC Raiders has a cool co-op event going on right now – definitely team up with your friends to take on the ARC! They also brought back the Cold Snap map condition, which was originally a limited-time thing last December, but now it’s sticking around permanently. And get this – they’re adding even more stuff this month! We’re talking a map update, a new condition called Raider Deck, a tougher ARC threat, and something called Player Project. It sounds like a lot of fresh content is coming, and I’m hyped to check it all out!
The only real drawback is that players won’t get a brand new map to explore until April, with the release of the Riven Tides update—which also includes a large-scale new area that the developers are working to ensure runs smoothly. We’ll share more news as it becomes available, but overall, the game is continuing to gain popularity and doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
