So, ARC Raiders hit this crazy peak of 700,000 players recently, which was awesome! And now, the developers at Embark Studios just dropped a new update that everyone’s really going to enjoy, from what I’ve seen.
Many players have asked for this, and we’re excited to announce duo matchmaking! Now you can team up with a friend and compete against other duos.
Embark Studios recently announced that they’ve been quietly testing a new feature, which is now available in their latest update.
Embark Studios explains that when finding matches, Solo and Squad players will be grouped separately from Duo and Trio players. Then, Duos will primarily be matched with other Duos, and Trios with Trios.
Generally, teams of two will mostly fight other teams of two, and teams of three will usually encounter other teams of three.

They did caution that this system isn’t foolproof. You may still occasionally encounter players playing alone or in small groups of three.
This new feature is great because it lets players team up with just one friend, instead of needing a full three-person squad.
Duo Matchmaking and Cosmetic Prices Adjustments Now Live
In addition to the new duo matchmaking option, Embark Studios has updated the prices of in-game cosmetics based on what players told them.
So, the team said they’ve been checking prices and are lowering them where they can, which is awesome! But we’ll have to be patient – the new prices won’t actually kick in until tomorrow at 10:30 CET. I’m setting a reminder now!

If you bought something with the previous pricing, we’ll refund your Raider Tokens within the next week.
Finally, Embark Studios has given all players a free Raider Deck. They also hinted that more Raider Decks, both free and paid, might be available later on.
