To successfully defeat the challenging Matriarch boss in ARC Raiders, it’s important to understand her attack patterns and where she’s vulnerable.
The Matriarch is a powerful enemy that appears randomly on maps, triggering a special event. She’s roughly as challenging as a Queen, so it’s best to be well-prepared! If you defeat her, you’ll have a chance to collect a lot of valuable, rare materials.
In this guide, we’ll help you prepare to take on this fearsome ARC.
Matriarch Boss Weakspots & Guide | ARC Raiders

Okay, so if you want to take on the Matriarch, here’s what I’ve figured out. You just need to hang around on any map and wait for the Matriarch event to actually start. Once it does, she’ll definitely show up somewhere on that map and you can go challenge her!
Before you start, make sure you have the strongest weapons available to counter ARC enemies. We suggest using the Hullcracker as your main weapon, and the Anvil as a reliable secondary. And don’t forget to bring plenty of ammunition for the Hullcracker – ideally 100 to 150 rounds, or even more if you can!
Don’t forget a Medium Shield and lots of healing items! Also, ensure all your gear is in good condition – it’s a lengthy battle, and you wouldn’t want your equipment to fall apart mid-fight.
Finally, this boss is much easier to defeat when you work with other players. Because it’s an event, you’ll probably have help from random players even without coordinating beforehand.
Weakpoints

The Matriarch is heavily armored, as you’d expect. Its only real weakness is its glowing red core, but it’s usually difficult to target.
Attacking the head is generally ineffective, so your next best option is to target its legs. Like with other armored creatures, breaking its legs can cause significant damage and restrict its movements.

Be aware that the Matriarch sometimes protects itself with a blue shield. You can only hurt it while standing under the shield, which is risky. Luckily, the shield will disappear automatically after a little while.
The Matriarch doesn’t have many attacks, but the ones she does have are incredibly powerful.
Matriarch’s Attacks

This enemy primarily attacks by launching a continuous stream of missiles. These missiles are quick and lock onto Raiders, posing a serious threat to anyone exposed. Fortunately, you can easily evade them by taking cover.

The Matriarch can also force you out of cover using gas grenades. These grenades release a green cloud that makes your character cough, temporarily stopping you from taking actions and draining your Stamina. Thankfully, they don’t appear to cause any direct health damage.

The Matriarch can also launch explosive cylinders. These cylinders detonate quickly, temporarily blinding and deafening nearby players.
The Matriarch has another dangerous ability: she can call in reinforcements in the form of other ARCs. This is especially problematic because she can summon Rocketeers, who are a significant threat during the battle.
If you see more ARCs, get behind cover from the Matriarch and concentrate your attacks on them. Eliminate them fast to avoid being overrun!

The Matriarch doesn’t have many attacks, but it becomes more dangerous as it loses health. For instance, it will start firing missiles rapidly when it’s nearly defeated, so be prepared!
Now that you’re equipped with all the knowledge of the Matriarch’s weak points, you’re ready to take on this challenging boss in ARC Raiders! Make sure you’re fully prepared, as it’s a tough fight, but victory is within your reach.
