Despite many online multiplayer games struggling to maintain popularity, Embark Studios has found considerable success with ARC Raiders, selling over 12.4 million copies since it launched in October 2025.
According to a Business Wire report, the game sold 10 million copies by the end of 2025. Sales have recently increased thanks to discounts on consoles and PC. For instance, the PS5 version was 20% off on the PS Store during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Patrick Söderlund, founder and CEO of Embark Studios, expressed gratitude to their players for their support. He noted that the game’s community has been involved since the beginning, and their feedback and passion are helping to shape its future development.
The sales update also revealed that Arc Raiders had an incredible 960,000 players online at the same time in early 2026, exceeding the popularity of many other major multiplayer games.
Now that Arc Raiders has launched, Embark Studios will focus on supporting the game with updates and content throughout 2026 and in the years to come. They’ll also continue to support their other game, The Finals. The studio originally planned for Arc Raiders to be a long-term project, lasting a decade, and the game’s initial sales suggest that goal is now more achievable.
Okay, so Arc Raiders ended up at number six on my Game of the Year list – I originally gave it a 9 out of 10! Honestly, it’s just a fantastic example of how amazing immersive multiplayer can be. No two runs are ever the same, and every time I played with my squad, we always had something new and crazy to talk about afterwards.
