The game ARC Raiders is holding a playtest right now, so we’ve put together the best settings to help you get the highest frame rates and a smooth experience during your limited playtime!
The game doesn’t offer many customization options, honestly. However, that doesn’t stop you from trying to optimize your experience.
Here’s a quick list of our recommended settings to help you get the best performance and clearest results.
Max FPS & Best Settings | ARC Raiders: Optimization Guide
You’ll find all the performance options for ARC Raiders in the Graphics tab of the settings menu – thankfully, everything is grouped together! Here’s a rundown of our suggestions, starting from the top of the list:
Window Mode – Borderless Fullscreen. Officially recommended.
DLSS/FSR Frame Generation is currently turned off. While it can make the game appear smoother, it often introduces a delay between your actions and what you see on screen.
NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency/AMD Anti-Lag 2 – On.
Frame Rate Limit – Unlimited.
The best way to improve performance depends on your graphics card. If you have an NVIDIA card, DLSS is the top option. For other cards, AMD FSR 3 usually works best, though Intel XeSS is also a good choice.
When it comes to DLSS, FSR, and XeSS, the ‘Quality’ setting is generally best. If you need a performance boost, ‘Balanced’ is a good option, though it will slightly reduce visual fidelity. We don’t recommend using settings lower than that.
NVIDIA DLSS Model – Transformer.
Field of View (FOV) is set to 70. Increasing it lets you see a wider area, but it can significantly decrease performance. We don’t recommend lowering it.
NVIDIA RTX Global Illumination – Static.
View Distance – Medium. Low is not recommended as it can affect gameplay.
Anti-Aliasing – Low.
Shadows – Low.
Post-processing is kept to a minimum. This not only helps performance, but also avoids visual effects like motion blur that can make the image less clear.
Texture settings depend on your graphics card’s VRAM. If you have 8GB or more, use Epic. With 6GB, choose High. For 4GB, select Medium, and if you have less than 4GB, use Low.
Effects – Low.
Reflections – Low.
I’ve been playing around with the graphics settings, and I’ve found that keeping the foliage on High looks best for me. You *can* turn it down to Medium or Low to get a little extra performance, but honestly, I’ve noticed some weird visual glitches when I do. So, for now, I’m sticking with High – the smoother visuals are worth it!
Global Illumination Resolution – Low.
Okay, so I’ve covered all the settings in ARC Raiders that actually impact how well the game runs, and what I recommend to get the most FPS. Honestly, there aren’t a ton of options to mess with, but hopefully this guide helps you squeeze out a little extra performance!
