ARC Raiders is getting a major update on February 24, 2026. Embark Studios announced the ‘Shrouded Sky‘ update will add new features, tougher challenges, and new dangers to the game world, including the Rust Belt. This update is part of the game’s 2026 plan to change how players tackle raids and try to survive.
The biggest new feature in Shrouded Sky is a challenging Hurricane map condition. It changes how familiar areas play by adding strong winds and creating a tough battle environment. The update’s announcement trailer really showcases this new condition.
The update also changes the environment and adds new enemy types to challenge players in combat. It also expands how you progress in the game with a new Raider Deck and more chances to go on expeditions.
Raiders will have to quickly adjust to the new hurricane conditions to survive. The hurricane drastically changes how people move – winds at your back will make you faster, but facing into the wind will slow you down and tire you out. Flying debris can break your defenses and leave you vulnerable, and poor visibility combined with rough terrain means you’ll need to rethink your tactics. However, the hurricane also uncovers new Raider Caches from the First Wave, offering valuable rewards to those who risk facing the storm.
What’s New in Shrouded Sky

Alongside the Hurricane, the Shrouded Sky expansion introduces at least two new and challenging enemy types for Raiders to face.
- Firefly – a flying ARC that uses flamethrower-like attacks from above, forcing players to take cover or outmaneuver it. It is featured briefly in the trailer for the update.
- Comet – a relentless, aggressive ARC that patrols the battlefield, pursuing Raiders and keeping encounters unpredictable.
These challenges, alongside the hurricane, will make things very difficult, but succeeding will require smart preparation and the ability to adjust – similar to what players are already experiencing in the game’s current challenges.
This update includes features designed to keep players engaged for the long haul. Players can now progress further with the new Raider Deck, which offers fresh rewards. A new community event, Project: Weather Monitoring System, brings seasonal challenges with unique cosmetic prizes. Finally, Dam Battlegrounds is getting a makeover, including a new area called the Controlled Access Zone, where players can find powerful loot.

Shrouded Sky significantly changes how you play ARC Raiders. The update adds intense weather, tougher enemies, and more ways to improve your character, creating exciting and challenging gameplay for everyone – whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out.
Shrouded Sky goes live on February 24, 2026, free for all players across supported platforms.
