Before the PS5 version of Arc Raiders comes out in two weeks, the game’s developer, Embark, is holding a final stress test. They want to see how the servers handle a lot of players at once, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable launch for everyone.
From October 17th to 19th, players can jump into Arc Raiders without needing to sign up beforehand. The game will be available to download directly from the PlayStation Store. This “server slam” lets you explore the Dam Battlegrounds map, test out progression, crafting, and quests before the full game launches. Although your progress won’t transfer to the final version on October 30th, you’ll receive a special backpack cosmetic as a reward for participating.

Aleksander Grøndal, the executive producer, explained that the game studio is thoroughly testing its servers before the official launch. They want to ensure a smooth experience for everyone when the servers go live on October 30th, with the game performing as intended – refined, fair, and ready to play. This early testing will help them find and fix any significant problems beforehand.
Good news, everyone! You can now pre-order the game on the PlayStation Store. The standard edition is £32.99 or $39.99, but if you’re really hyped, the Deluxe Edition is £39.99/$59.99. I’m leaning towards the Deluxe one because it comes with a bunch of cool cosmetic stuff, an extra emote and skin, and 2,400 Raider Tokens – which I’m guessing let you buy stuff in the game. Sounds worth it to me!
