To improve your Gear Bench to rank 3 in ARC Raiders, you’ll need to collect 3 Industrial Batteries and 6 Bastion Cells.
The Industrial Battery is relatively easy to obtain, but the Bastion Cell is more challenging. You’ll need to defeat Bastion ARCs to get one, and they can be quite difficult! Luckily, there are strategies to help you farm them efficiently.
Read on, we’ll tell you how to easily get both of these material types!
Where to Find Industrial Battery & Bastion Cell | ARC Raiders
Industrial Battery
Let’s begin with the simpler item to find. To get the Industrial Battery, head to the Hydroponic Dome Complex in the northwestern area of the Dam Battlegrounds map.
The industrial batteries are on the steel shelves, ready for pickup. It’s that simple!
This can be a little unpredictable, it’s true. Other things sometimes appear, and other players might snag them first. Still, this is the most reliable and straightforward place to farm this item.
Bastion Cell | Defeating a Bastion
Okay, so let’s talk about the Bastion Cell. It’s a pretty rare drop – you get it when you finally take down a Bastion. And trust me, those guys are tough. We already went over how challenging Bastions are in our guide to all the ARC types, so you know it’s a real fight to get this item!
Before tackling the Bastion, it’s best to get prepared. We suggest bringing weapons that are strong against its armor, specifically those with high ARC penetration – an upgraded Ferro or Anvil are good choices. Don’t forget to bring plenty of ammo for those weapons!
Grenades can be helpful in this situation, especially the Wolfpack variety. However, it’s up to you whether you want to use them against a Bastion.
When you’re prepared, head to the Plaza Rosa area in the southeastern section of the Buried City map.
Once you arrive in that area, head up onto the building rooftops. Be careful of any patrolling drone units and eliminate them as you go.
Once you’ve reached the rooftop, scan the area below for a Bastion. You’ll almost always find one patrolling around here.
When you find the Bastion, start attacking it! Focus your fire on its joints and the fuel tank on its back.
Managing to destroy the container on its back would be ideal, as it will instantly kill it!
Okay, so as a fellow player, let me tell you – when you see Bastion turn towards you and start charging up, back up! Seriously, just a little movement can make all the difference. I’ve found the best thing to do is use those angled rooftops around the map. They’re perfect for breaking its line of sight, and it completely stops it from shooting at you. It’s a lifesaver!
Okay, so the trick with Bastion is to peek out from cover right after it finishes firing, then blast it with everything I’ve got. I just keep doing that – pop out, shoot, duck back in – until it finally goes down. Then, the best part: looting it for those sweet, sweet Bastion Cells!
