Here is an overview of the game, via Hamster Corporation:
The battle for Tokyo! Which side will you join: the Green force or the White force?
Released in 1996 by Namco (now Bandai Namco Entertainment), Tokyo Wars is an action-packed shooter where players join either the Green or White tank unit. Battle it out on realistic city streets – destroy your opponents or face destruction as the fight for Tokyo begins!
The Arcade Archives series aims to perfectly recreate classic arcade games, preserving the original experience.
Original Mode enhances these classic games with helpful features like adjustable difficulty, display options, customizable controls, quick save slots, and even an undo button. Some games also let you simulate the look of old CRT televisions for a retro feel. Plus, in HI SCORE MODE and CARAVAN MODE, you can compete with players worldwide on online leaderboards.
The Arcade Archives 2 series expands on the original Arcade Archives with two new ways to play: Time Attack and Split Screen. Split Screen lets you play locally with friends on one console, while Time Attack challenges you to beat the game as fast as possible, even if your score isn’t high. Plus, support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) makes the gameplay even more authentic, recreating the original arcade feel.
Please enjoy these iconic arcade games that defined an era with the Arcade Archives series!
