Are Ben Affleck and Brooks Nader Dating? She Says…

Brooks Nader isn’t loving this narrative about her love life.

The actress from Love Thy Neighbor addressed rumors of a romance with Ben Affleck, quickly explaining why they aren’t true.

After the popular gossip account Deuxmoi mentioned a possible relationship on Instagram, Brooks, 28, publicly denied knowing the person in a comment posted on January 24th.

The former Dancing With the Stars contestant is no stranger to questions about her love life. She briefly dated her professional dance partner, Gleb Savchenko, for seven months before their split in April. Recently, after attending the US Open in August, Jimmy Kimmel playfully asked her about rumors linking her to tennis player Jannik Sinner.

During a September appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host playfully asked Brooks if she was dating tennis star Jannik Sinner. She jokingly replied, “Are you interrogating me? I’m actually frightened!”

Shortly after, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model suggested Jimmy contact Stephen Colbert, who had been sitting next to her at the game they were discussing.

She told me to ask Stephen which game we’d seen together. She then mentioned Jannik, saying he probably hadn’t been at that particular game. She confirmed I was on the right track, but that it wasn’t the game they’d attended.

Despite her recent divorce from Billy Haire (2019-2025), things weren’t over for Brooks. Later that month, Andy Cohen responded to another rumor claiming she was dating both Jannick and Carlos Alcaraz during the US Open.

She famously stated on Watch What Happens Live that a woman doesn’t reveal details about who she’s kissed, and certainly not more than once. She added that doing so is simply impolite.

Honestly, it drives me wild that people expect her to apologize for the fact that everyone is so obsessed with her love life! Like, she didn’t make anyone care, you know? It’s not her fault we’re all glued to every detail – why should she have to answer for our fascination? It’s just… unfair! I totally get where she’s coming from, it’s like she’s saying ‘Leave me alone, I’m just living my life!’ and I’m here for it.

“Guys do it all the time,” she noted. “So why can’t I do it?”

Brooks prefers to keep her personal life private, but here’s a look at some surprising celebrity couples from the past.

I’ve always been fascinated by Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis! They had incredible chemistry, especially considering they played tragic lovers not once, but twice – first in ‘Too Young to Die?’ back in the 90s, and then again in ‘Kalifornia’ a few years later. It’s so interesting because, despite those dark roles, from what I understand, they actually got along really well and had a genuinely good relationship off-screen.

Okay, so I still think about her, honestly. Even back then, in ’95, I told Vanity Fair that I was still in love with her. She’s just…brilliant, you know? We had an amazing time together, truly one of the best relationships of my life. I remember taking her to the Oscars in ’92 when she was nominated for Cape Fear – she was incredible. But I guess I realized, like everyone does eventually, that love isn’t always enough. That whole ‘love conquers all’ thing? It’s just not true, is it?

It wasn’t just a nostalgic fantasy – Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner really were a couple at the end of the 1990s and into the 2000s. The story goes that they met thanks to Gwyneth Paltrow, who famously dated Affleck’s close friend, Damon. They ended their relationship in 2000.

In a 2004 interview with Playboy, Damon described Ryder as a “great woman.” Ryder, in turn, told Black Book magazine in 2009 that Matt was “a really nice guy,” and she felt lucky they remained on good terms.

Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake had a noticeable connection when they presented together at the 2003 Kids’ Choice Awards. They dated for nearly four years, and when they broke up in 2007, they released a statement saying it was a mutual decision and that they would remain friends with continued love and respect for each other.

While self-love is the most important relationship, actress Kristin Davis, known for her role in Sex and the City, enjoyed dating Alec Baldwin during her time on the HBO show.

On the February 2025 episode of the Literally! With Rob Lowe podcast, Kristin clarified that a former boyfriend—who she’d previously lent $5,000 to before he ended their relationship—was definitely not the three-time Emmy winner people were speculating about.

You know, when I was with Alec Baldwin, it was clear he was already incredibly well-off. Honestly, it’s almost funny to think about now – I never would have even considered lending him that $5,000 if I’d known how comfortable he was! It just seems wild looking back.

In her 2025 memoir, My Good Side, the former Vanderpump Rules star shared details about her relationship with the Desperate Housewives actor that occurred in the mid-2000s.

Oh my gosh, those nights were EVERYTHING. We’d all get together at his place for dinner with his parents, which was sweet, but then, once everyone left… he’d grab his guitar. And he’d play for me. Like, actually serenade me with songs like ‘Hey There Delilah’! It seriously felt like a dream come true. I’d been watching this guy on screen for years, completely obsessed, and suddenly I was living a real-life romance with him. It was unreal!

Before marrying Livia Giuggioli in 1997 (they later separated in 2019), Colin Firth was in a five-year relationship with Tilly, and they had a son, William Joseph Firth, born on September 20, 1990. William is also an actor and appeared alongside his father in Bridget Jones’s Baby.

The lead actors from Good Will Hunting also became a couple in real life, but their relationship didn’t last.

In January 1998, on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Damon shared that he was currently single. He explained that he and Minnie had previously been in a relationship, but they had since become just friends, though he cared for her deeply and they remained close. He acknowledged that the romantic connection simply wasn’t meant to be, and accepted that outcome.

Driver didn’t appreciate how publicly Matt announced their breakup. She later told the LA Times that she thought it was “fantastically inappropriate” for him to reveal they’d split on Oprah. She felt it was a poor choice of venue for such a personal announcement.

I was immediately attracted to her, but we didn’t realize we had a connection until after filming wrapped.”

The couple became engaged in 1995, but their relationship ended two years later. They didn’t work together again until 2022, when they both appeared in Jurassic World: Dominion, the sixth film in the Jurassic World series.

As a lifestyle observer, I remember when Gillian Anderson and Peter Morgan were a couple – it was quite the power pairing from 2016 to 2020! And speaking of successes, it was fantastic to see Gillian take home an Emmy in 2020 for her incredible portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in The Crown. She truly embodied the role!

According to Arquette, the two dated while filming their 1995 Western Wild Bill.

During a Reddit Q&A in November 2015, the actor from Clueless confirmed a surprising fact: he and the actress had previously dated. They had both appeared in the 1992 TV movie Desperate Choices: To Save My Child.
