Let us rejoicify for Ariana Grande‘s latest red carpet look.
Ariana Grande, known for her role in Wicked: For Good, wore a black Vivienne Westwood Couture ball gown to the 2026 Golden Globes in Beverly Hills on January 11th. The dark color seemed to be a nod to Cynthia Erivo’s character, Elphaba Thropp, from the same film, as Elphaba begins as a friend and then becomes an enemy of Grande’s character. Nikki Glaser hosted the event.
Ariana Grande’s outfit, put together by stylist Law Roach, was a shift from the bright, pink-focused looks she’d been wearing during the movie’s promotional events, which were inspired by her character Glinda. (You can see all the Golden Globes red carpet looks here.)
Before the awards ceremony, the 32-year-old actress – nominated for Best Supporting Actress alongside Emily Blunt, Amy Madigan, Teyana Taylor, Elle Fanning, and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas – expressed her gratitude for being recognized for her role as Glinda the Good Witch in the musical inspired by The Wizard of Oz.
She expressed her gratitude to the Golden Globes, sharing on Instagram December 8th that she was deeply moved and thankful to receive this honor for her performance a second time. She said she was speechless.
It was a sentiment Ariana also shared at the New York City premiere of Wicked: For Good in November.

“It’s amazing,” she said to TopMob News. “We’re really honored to be recognized, especially since it’s been a year since the first movie came out. We’re so grateful to have shared that moment and be acknowledged for our work.”
The Grammy-winning artist is thrilled for audiences to at last learn the complete backstory of Glinda and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) in the upcoming Wicked movie, and to witness the complete journey of these beloved characters we’ve all grown to love.
Ariana said it’s been nearly five years working with these people, and she’s thrilled they’re finally learning everything she and others have known all along.
