Ariana Grande’s Wicked Premiere Accoster Kicked Out of Lady Gaga Show

Lady Gaga lives for the applause, not for gatecrashers. 

Sabrina Carpenter’s security team didn’t allow an influencer, known as Pyjama Man, to attend her concert in Brisbane, Australia on December 9th. This influencer has a history of disrupting events, most recently running onto the red carpet at the Singapore premiere of Wicked: For Good to try and reach Ariana Grande.

Videos shared on social media showed influencer Johnson Wen, 26, being escorted out of Suncorp Stadium shortly before the concert began. He attempted to disguise himself with a wig, fake mustache, and sunglasses, but was unsuccessful.

Johnson said on Instagram on December 9th that they were removed from the Lady Gaga concert because some of the first fans in line were booing them.

Lady Gaga’s team hasn’t commented on what happened, but fans at her Brisbane concert said security around the stage was noticeably tighter. One fan posted on X (formerly Twitter) that security was increased because of worries someone might rush the stage.

This latest incident involving Johnson happened just weeks after he was arrested for rushing the stage at the Singapore premiere of Wicked: For Good on November 13th, where he ran towards Ariana Grande and embraced her.

During the incident, Ariana’s co-star, Cynthia Erivo, intervened and pushed the influencer away from Ariana before security guards were able to detain and arrest him, as confirmed by Johnson on social media.

Okay, so after things got a little rocky, I just wanted to share what Ariana did – it was really classy. She was clearly upset, but immediately took to Instagram to send a heartfelt message to her fans in Singapore, simply saying ‘We love you.’ It showed such grace under pressure, and I think really resonated with people. It’s a good reminder that even when things don’t go as planned, acknowledging your supporters is key.

Earlier this year, Johnson unexpectedly joined Katy Perry on stage during her Sydney concert as she sang her popular song, “Hot N Cold.”

It took security a few moments to reach Johnson, but Katy remained calm and continued performing her song.

“There’s never going to be another show like this,” she told the crowd, “So just enjoy it.”

Johnson has caused trouble at shows before, but he’s not the only fan to ever disrupt a performance. Here are some other celebrities who have been targeted by fans while on stage…

While performing his last song, “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)”, at the North Dakota State Fair in 2025, the American Idol judge was hit with something thrown from the audience. He didn’t let it bother him, though, and finished the song perfectly.

As one fan noted, “Carried on like a champ.”

 

During a 2023 concert in California, a Jonas Brother was forced to ask fans to stop throwing items onto the stage after two bracelets narrowly missed hitting him.

Cardi B was visibly upset when someone in the audience threw a drink at her during a performance at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas in July 2023. She reacted by throwing her microphone at the person. The next day, a woman filed a police report claiming she’d been hit, but Las Vegas police stated that no arrests were made. Cardi B’s lawyers later confirmed to TMZ that the singer wouldn’t be facing any charges in the incident.

Bebe Rexha is determined to enjoy herself despite a recent incident at her concert. In June 2023, while performing in New York City, she was hit in the face with a phone thrown from the audience. She shared a photo of her injury online, assuring fans she was okay. The lawyer for Nicolas Malvagna, the man arrested and charged with assault, stated that his client only intended to get a photo with his phone as a memento and never meant to hurt Rexha.

Kelsea Ballerini was startled when someone threw a bracelet onto the stage during a concert in Idaho in June 2023. She explained on Instagram that the bracelet hit her in the eyes, but thankfully, it scared her more than it hurt.

Ava Max is speaking out about an incident that happened at her June 2023 concert in Los Angeles. She explained on Twitter that a fan slapped her so hard it scratched her eye. She made it clear that this person is now banned from all of her shows. While known for her song ‘Sweet but Psycho,’ Max emphasized she’s not as gentle as people might think.

Pink found it amusing when a fan threw a wheel of Brie to her during her performance at the British Summer Time Festival in London in 2023. She jokingly responded with a bit of surprise and affection. The next day, however, things got stranger when someone tossed a bag of ashes towards the stage. Pink, clearly bewildered, asked, “Is this your mom?” and admitted she wasn’t sure how to react.

It seems like anything goes at concerts these days! Harry Styles had to dodge various items thrown at him during his Love on Tour, including, surprisingly, Skittles at a Los Angeles show in 2022. The candy brand even tweeted a message asking fans to please stop throwing their products.

During a February 2022 concert, Billie Eilish was thrown a pair of fake breasts by a fan while she was performing “Lost Cause.” Showing she doesn’t let things bother her, the Grammy-winning singer threw them back into the audience and continued the show.

Kid Cudi warned the audience at his 2022 Rolling Loud performance that he would leave if anyone threw anything else on stage. Shortly after, an object was thrown at him, and he followed through with his warning, walking off stage.

Fans were shocked and upset when a lemon was thrown at Ariana Grande while she was performing at Coachella in 2019. Although she was clearly bothered, Ariana quickly joked about it, telling the audience, “Someone just threw a lemon at me, seriously.”
