‘Arrested Development”s Will Arnett Takes Over From David Harbour in ‘Behemoth!’

Don’t worry, fans! Even though David Harbour had to leave the new movie Behemoth, Will Arnett is stepping in to take his place. The Hollywood Reporter announced that Arnett, known for Arrested Development, will join the cast of this film, which is a celebration of movie music and the people behind it. Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us), Olivia Wilde (Cowboys & Aliens), Eva Victor (Billions), Matthew Lillard (Five Nights at Freddy’s), Alexa Swinton (Maestro), Margarite Levieva (Task), and Barry Livingston (The Social Network) are also set to star.

Director Tony Gilroy, known for his Oscar-nominated work on Michael Clayton with George Clooney, recently discussed Pedro Pascal’s dedication to his role as a musician. Pascal carried a cello around in public to prepare, and Gilroy explained on the Lovett or Leave It podcast that this was intentional – they wanted him to be comfortable playing and carrying the instrument anywhere, as his character, Alex Serian, is a cellist who practices constantly.

I’ll never forget when Keanu Reeves first came on set for The Devil’s Advocate. We all thought he seemed an unlikely choice for a lawyer! Director Taylor Hackford made him start wearing a suit three months before filming even began, and insisted he didn’t take it off. Keanu really committed to it, and it eventually looked natural on him. It’s like, if you consistently act a part – even just carrying around a cello case – you start to become that part.

Will Arnett Leads Bradley Cooper’s New Comedy-Drama ‘Is This Thing On?’

Searchlight Pictures

Actor Behemoth Arnett recently discussed his new movie, Is This Thing On?, with MovieWeb. He explained that the film, which is based on the life of UK comedian John Bishop, realistically portrays a relationship falling apart. Arnett, 55, noted the movie doesn’t dwell on how the relationship failed, but instead focuses on the couple’s attempts to rebuild their lives afterward.

It was crucial for us to begin the story right at that pivotal moment, rather than showing how things got there. We wanted the audience to feel immediately immersed in the situation. We trust viewers to understand the context, because many of us have been through similar experiences. Often, these moments aren’t marked by huge drama, but by a quieter, more relatable sadness – that’s usually what it’s like.

Bradley Cooper directs “Is This Thing On?”, a film about Alex Novak, a man going through a divorce who attempts to find solace in stand-up comedy. The movie also features performances by Laura Dern, Sean Hayes, Amy Sedaris, Andra Day, and Ciarán Hinds.
