Warner Bros. is facing an uncertain future, as it appears Paramount is about to buy the company.
This acquisition is valued at a massive $110 billion. While the company’s impressive collection of movies and TV shows is the biggest draw, its video game division is also a key part of the deal.
WB Games has faced challenges recently, leading to the closure of some game development studios, layoffs, and the cancellation of various projects.
Now, it seems as though one of its teams has shrunk yet again.
On Friday, March 13th, 2026, a number of people shared on LinkedIn that they had lost their jobs at WB Games Montréal, indicating the studio has conducted another round of layoffs.
We don’t yet know the full extent of how many people this impacts. The studio previously cut 99 jobs in 2024.
WB Games Montréal previously developed games like Batman: Arkham Origins and Gotham Knights. Before that, they assisted Monolith Productions with a Wonder Woman game, which was unfortunately cancelled along with the studio’s closure.
Currently, no official word has been released about this. We will provide updates as soon as we have more information.
