Ashley Tisdale isn’t sticking to the status quo when it comes to her friendships.
Disney Channel star and mother of two, Jupiter, 4, and Emerson, 16 months, recently explained why she ended a friendship with a group of moms she described as “toxic.” She said the group initially provided positive support after the birth of her first child during the pandemic, but things changed and she was often excluded from their activities.
Ashley described finding a group of parents she thought would become her support system after connecting through playdates and a group chat. However, she later questioned whether that initial feeling was accurate, as she shared in a personal essay for The Cut.
The founder of Frenshe didn’t mention anyone specifically, but she has previously shared photos and stories of spending time with moms Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor, and Mandy Moore.
Ashley confessed that she was first really impressed by these other moms and their busy lives, but things quickly went downhill. She started to feel left out, especially when she noticed they were having get-togethers without her – the same women she was supposed to be getting advice from on things like diaper bags, baby gadgets, and just how to manage with a new baby.

She explained that she felt left out after realizing friends were hanging out without her – she found out by seeing pictures and stories on Instagram. It started to feel like they were intentionally excluding her, and she couldn’t help but notice it.
Over time, she came to feel like the omissions were intentional.
“Initially, I really tried to brush off feeling left out,” Ashley explained. “I knew people had the right to hang out without me, and there could have been legitimate reasons why I wasn’t included. Everyone’s lives are busy, things get chaotic. I kept telling myself I was overreacting and it wasn’t something to worry about.”
And being on the outs gave her the chilling feeling of being back in mean girl territory.
She remembered one night, after her daughter was asleep, she started questioning herself, wondering if she was ‘cool’ enough. This thought instantly transported her back to the feeling of being a lost and insecure teenager, worrying about what she was doing to be excluded.

She explained that in the past, she would have simply avoided conflict and stayed silent, lacking the confidence to stand up for herself. She’d have hoped to be asked back and would have acted like everything was fine if she was.
Ashley wasn’t interested in trying to become friends with those women again. She had already told them exactly how she felt before leaving the group, holding her head high with pride—and she wanted her daughters to do the same if they ever found themselves excluded.
She told the group in a text message that she didn’t want to participate anymore, saying it felt too immature.
Honestly, when I finally removed myself from that tricky mom situation, the reaction wasn’t quite what I’d hoped for. Some moms offered apologies that felt a little…off, and others genuinely seemed surprised they’d even been excluding me in the first place! But I really wanted to share my experience to show how these little dramas still happen amongst parents – it’s like high school all over again, but on the playground!
Ashley ended by saying that being a mother is hard enough without worrying about whether you have support from those around you. You deserve to experience motherhood with people who genuinely care about you. And if you ever question their support, remember this: that group isn’t right for you, even if it seems like they’re living perfect lives online.

In June 2024, athlete Jason Kelce jokingly tweeted, “What kind of weirdo washes their feet…?” after a fan commented that he appeared to not wash his legs or feet.
The retired Philadelphia Eagles player later doubled down on his comments.
On his podcast, New Heights with his brother Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes jokingly asked, “What kind of person washes your feet?” He then added that he’d definitely scrub off any visible dirt.

More than ten years after actor Kristen Stewart shared a story about witnessing a clown’s death in a car explosion at the circus when he was a child, he confessed that the story was fabricated.
Robert remembered telling The New York Times Style Magazine in December 2024 that he reacted with complete surprise. He said he immediately asked, ‘What on earth is going on? Are you possessed?’
As for what he said during the 2011 Today interview promoting his film Water for Elephants?
He explained that one of the clowns had died in an accident. Their small car exploded, and it was a genuinely frightening experience for everyone who witnessed it. People immediately ran to safety.

Grandma knows best.
Kim Kardashian recently shared a personal story on her show, The Kardashians, about how her grandmother, Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell, unexpectedly played a role in a private moment with her then-boyfriend, Pete Davidson. She revealed this during an October 2022 episode.
Kim Kardashian told MJ, Kris Jenner, and Khloe Kardashian that she and Pete Davidson were at the Beverly Hills Hotel last weekend. They were chatting by the fireplace for hours, and she remembered something her grandmother had told her: ‘You truly live life when you have sex in front of a fireplace.’ Inspired by that, she and Pete decided to honor Kris by doing just that.
Grandma’s reaction? A nod of approval.
Okay, so I was chatting with someone recently, and they brought up this really relatable moment. They said, ‘It’s so weird to think about your grandparents right before getting intimate, right?’ And I totally get it! It’s just one of those things that crosses your mind, and honestly, we all go through phases where we remember family at unexpected times. I just said, ‘Yeah, I remember being younger too!’ It’s funny how the brain works, isn’t it?

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have a very close family with their two children, 8-year-old Wyatt and 6-year-old Dimitri, and their love for each other is limitless.
So much so, that the Black Swan actress revealed they keep an open-door policy at home.
She told TopMob News in September 2022 that this also extends to the bathroom. She explained it’s simply become normal for her family and children to openly discuss and accept natural bodily functions.
Mila explained that she finally gave in after her family repeatedly asked to come inside. She said she eventually thought, ‘Okay, fine, I’ll just leave the door open.’
Pre-kids, she might not have imagined she’d flush that particular boundary away.
She said she always thought she’d be someone who needed privacy in the bathroom, but now she’s comfortable with the door open.

Ghouls just want to have fun.
During an October 2022 episode of The View, the conversation turned to a woman claiming her home was haunted by “sexual ghosts.” Sara Haines then posed a surprising question to her co-hosts: Could a person actually get pregnant after having sex with a ghost?
Luckily, Joy Behar, her co-host, chimed in with a humorous response: “I’ve had encounters with ghosts and never gotten pregnant.”
“I’m going to leave that statement as is,” Whoopi Goldberg responded. “I’m not sure everyone heard what Joy said, but I’m choosing not to comment further on it.”

Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb are very close friends, but Hoda recently learned something surprising about her co-host on Today. While preparing for an episode of Today with Hoda and Jenna, Hoda found out that Jenna always goes without underwear.
Hoda recounted a funny moment from the November 2022 episode of Today with Hoda and Jenna. She explained that they both needed to quickly change outfits, and while heading back to the dressing room, she realized Jenna doesn’t wear underwear.
Jenna’s rationale? Well, no underwear might just be more convenient to her.
She explained that the style creates a nicer overall shape, and it also means you can travel lighter. She felt there were many benefits to choosing it.

Looks like someone hasn’t been keeping up.
Britney Spears related to a popular line from Keke Palmer – “He could be walking down the street, I wouldn’t know a thing” – and confessed she wasn’t familiar with Pete Davidson or Scott Disick.
I just had to share this hilarious video I found from March! It’s of Pete – you remember, when he was dating Kim – and Scott, Kourtney’s ex. They were having a ‘boyz night’ and honestly, it had me in stitches! I couldn’t stop laughing, so I had to post it for everyone to enjoy.
Britney explained she was resharing the video, even though she didn’t know the people in it, because it was really funny! She later removed the post.

Before Chris Evans became famous as Captain America and was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2022, Jana Kramer dated him and thought he was a really cute heartthrob.
The singer shared on her podcast, Whine Down with Jana Kramer, that this happened over ten years ago. She doesn’t remember exactly how many times they went out, but she does remember their final meeting.
Jana, who was around 26 at the time, said Chris asked her to come over when he had some friends visiting from Boston.
Jana recalled that the last thing she remembered was her partner going to the bathroom right after she’d eaten asparagus – which makes your pee smell funny. They didn’t end up intimate that night; he stayed out with friends, and the next morning, she left his house feeling embarrassed – what she called the ‘asparagus walk of shame’.
She added, “I never heard from him again.”

Not all of these confessions are amusing.
In December, television writer Elisabeth Finch confessed that she had fabricated a story about having a rare form of bone cancer. She originally shared this false diagnosis with ELLE magazine eight years prior, and it even became the basis for a plotline on Grey’s Anatomy.
Elisabeth recently shared with The Ankler newsletter that a lie she told at age 34 was the biggest regret of her life. She explained that the lie grew over time and became a heavy burden. She also clarified that she has never been diagnosed with cancer.
Finch, who was suspended and then resigned from his role on the ABC medical drama, admitted he made a serious mistake. He described his actions as ‘wrong, unacceptable, and a complete mess.’

Beauty is pain, but Kim Kardashian might be able to stomach it.
The reality star told The New York Times she’d consider almost any procedure to look younger.
She admitted in June that she’d even consider something drastic – like eating something truly unpleasant every day – if it meant she could look younger. She seemed genuinely open to the idea.
Kim told Allure in July 2022 that she was mostly kidding when she made the comment, but admitted it wasn’t a completely awful idea.
Kim admitted, after some thought, that she’d likely do almost anything for youth, even something disgusting. She said she’d probably eat something truly awful, like a bowl of waste, if someone promised it would make her look younger, even if she had to do it daily.
When asked if she could eat something, she said she might be able to manage a small bite, but definitely couldn’t handle a full bowl.

Jelly Roll could’ve used some saving from himself.
During an April 2025 interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the singer of “Save Me” shared a particularly embarrassing story, and he didn’t hesitate to reveal all the details.
“I pooped myself one time,” he admitted. “I did, I’m sorry.”
To be honest, Jelly Roll (whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord) didn’t intend to cause such serious harm.
He firmly believed it was just a harmless prank. “I sincerely apologize,” he said. “I saw the audience change from supportive to completely turned against me.”
