Ashley Tisdale, Haylie Duff’s Kids Have Playdate After Mom Group Drama

Ashley Tisdale French and Haylie Duff are bopping around the drama.

Following the buzz around Ashley’s essay detailing her decision to distance herself from a difficult group of friends—a group some speculated included Hilary Duff—Hilary and her older sister arranged a playdate for their children.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I’m losing it! Haylie just posted the cutest picture! It’s Lulu, her sweet 7-year-old, playing with Jupiter, Ashley’s adorable 4-year-old, and they’re just hanging out under a table! It’s the most precious thing I’ve ever seen, seriously!

Haylie, who is also a mom to her 10-year-old daughter Ryan with her fiancé Matt Rosenberg, jokingly described a photo she shared on Instagram on January 27th as “Under table shenanigans.”

After Ashley’s essay came out in The Cut on January 1st, rumors quickly spread that Hilary, along with celebrities Mandy Moore and Meghan Trainor, were involved in the story she told. The speculation became so intense that both Meghan and Hilary’s husband, Matthew Koma, publicly responded to the situation.

Meghan, known for her song “Made You Look,” responded to the essay by posting videos online. She jokingly dismissed it and stated she wasn’t involved, sharing the response with her social media followers. She and her husband, Daryl Sabara, have two sons together.

Matthew, who has three daughters with Hilary and a 13-year-old son named Luca from her previous relationship with Mike Comrie, posted a mock magazine cover on his Instagram Story, jokingly announcing a new interview with The Cut.

The post is titled, “When You’re The Most Self-Obsessed and Out-of-Touch Person on Earth, Other Moms Usually Start Paying Attention to Their Kids Instead,” and is described as “A Dad’s Inside Look at a Moms’ Group.”

However, a representative for Ashley quickly denied the rumors, telling TMZ on January 5th that the essay Ashley wrote for Suite Life with Zach and Cody wasn’t about Mandy, Hilary, or Meghan. They added that it was upsetting her words had been misinterpreted.

Since then, others have also shown Ashley support. Dylan Efron, the younger brother of Zac Efron (who starred with Ashley in High School Musical), also offered his thoughts on the situation.

However, a representative for Ashley quickly denied the rumors, telling TMZ on January 5th that the essay about her time on Suite Life with Zach and Cody wasn’t about Mandy, Hilary, or Meghan. They added that it was disappointing her words had been misinterpreted.

Since then, others have also supported Ashley. Dylan Efron, brother of Ashley’s High School Musical co-star Zac Efron, shared similar sentiments when asked about the situation.

Dylan shared on the January 21st episode of Watch What Happens Live that he’s known Ashley since childhood and she’s always been kind to him. Because of this, he doesn’t believe she would intentionally hurt anyone in the mom group and hopes the current situation is just a mistake.

The 33-year-old was sure to add, “I honestly don’t know what’s going on, though.”

He did not respond to her remarks publicly.

Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed annoyed when he was a guest on The Talk in 2014, after she mistakenly said his name incorrectly.

She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this field?’ She responded sharply, telling him, ‘Don’t underestimate me, because I’ll completely overwhelm you.’ She added, ‘You have no idea who you’re talking to.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris publicly disagreed with Brittany Aldean, wife of country singer Jason Aldean, after Brittany posted a video on Instagram. In the video, she thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition genders during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, stating she enjoyed being feminine.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d met, explaining that Bure once turned down her request for a photo on the red carpet. Shortly after, Cameron Bure apologized, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings when she was younger and that she was truly sorry for not taking the picture.

Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday movies, she said it wouldn’t. She explained that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.

JoJo, who publicly shared they are part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, responded to the actress’ comment on Instagram, calling it “rude and hurtful to an entire community.”

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed that Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art of her band, Hole, for a promotional photo without giving credit. Olivia responded with a simple, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, “Olivia – you’re welcome. My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! DM me for details! I look forward to reading your note [winking face emoji].”

While on Watch What Happens Live, the Happy Days actor explained the reason for his difficult relationship with the Forrest Gump star while filming the 1989 movie Turner & Hooch.

I directed the film for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, told me to go home – that I had everything I needed, he said.

Winkler and Hanks’ dog seemed to hit it off. “I really loved that dog,” Winkler said, “we got along wonderfully.”

He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

Those who watched The Hills will likely recall Lauren’s famous line from the start of season three. The drama between her and Heidi began when Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt, and it escalated when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about her and Jason Wahler involving a sex tape.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had a public falling out after the release date for Fast & Furious 9 was delayed to April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off film featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was announced for 2019. Shortly after, Tyrese said he would leave Fast 9 if Dwayne Johnson was still involved.

Tyrese recently discussed the long-standing conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on The Red Pill podcast that he still hasn’t spoken to Johnson directly, though he hopes to in the future. He mentioned he did speak with one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not with Johnson himself.

Tyrese admitted he shouldn’t have publicly shared frustrations he heard from others connected to the franchise. He explained he was the one who spoke out, which he acknowledges was a mistake, saying it wasn’t professional or appropriate.

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry had a long-running public disagreement, rumored to be the inspiration behind Taylor’s song “Bad Blood.” The conflict, which supposedly began due to a dispute over a dancer and competition between their concert tours, ended when Katy sent Taylor an olive branch as a peace offering before Taylor’s Reputation Tour began.

Taylor shared in an Instagram video that she found a real olive branch in her dressing room, saying it meant a lot to her.

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of Sex and the City, successfully avoided rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and made some pointed comments about her co-star.

During a September 2017 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan that they were simply coworkers and not friends.

She said she was just devastated. They had talked about it all week, and she was really bothered because that wasn’t how she remembered things happening.

Cardi B explained that she chose to stay with her daughter instead of pursuing a highly profitable Bruno Mars tour, potentially earning millions. She emphasized her strong love for her daughter and pride in being a good mother. She also responded to criticism about a recent public encounter with another artist, stating that opportunities like that don’t come around often, and she wouldn’t expect to run into someone famous in everyday places.

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They later reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which mentioned Taylor by name.

Just before the Grammys in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for the action, and Swift didn’t publicly acknowledge it.
