Ashton Kutcher will always be a fan of Demi Moore.
The actor, who was married to Demi from 2005 to 2013, talked about his new series, The Beauty. He noted that the show, created by Ryan Murphy, shares some similarities with Demi’s film The Substance, and he also complimented her Oscar-nominated acting in it.
Ashton praised Demi’s performance in The Substance, saying she received well-deserved recognition. He shared in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on January 14th that he was very proud of her.
The 47-year-old added, “She killed it.”
As a longtime observer of Hollywood relationships, I’ve always been fascinated by Ashton Kutcher’s journey. While he and Mila Kunis – they’ve been married for a decade and have two wonderful kids, Wyatt and Dimitri – have kept their relationship fairly private, he hasn’t often discussed his marriage to Demi Moore since their split. He did, however, once share how incredibly lonely he felt after they went their separate ways, and that really resonated with a lot of people.
He told Dax Shepard on the Armchair Expert podcast in 2018 that he immediately went to Big Sky, Montana, for a week alone after his divorce. He said he didn’t eat or drink anything except water and tea during that time.
Ashton explained that he completely disconnected, taking away all his devices – computers, phone, everything. He spent a week in solitude, with only a notepad, pen, and some water and tea. He didn’t talk to anyone during that time.
Being alone gave him a chance to think deeply, not only about his relationship with Demi, but about all of his past relationships as well.

I made a list of every relationship where I held onto resentment or had any regrets. Then, I wrote a letter to each person involved. After seven days, I typed up all the letters and sent them. I had originally handwritten them all before typing them out.
Demi, age 63, recently spoke openly about her divorce from Ashton Kutcher. She shared details while discussing her 2019 memoir, Inside Out. Demi and Bruce Willis have three daughters together: Rumer, 37, and twins Scout and Tallulah, both 34.
She explained to Good Morning America that she felt completely lost at the time. Looking back, she realized she had lost sight of who she was and had essentially blinded herself to her own needs.

Ashton, then 25, and Demi, 41, first met in 2003 at a relaxed dinner with friends. Despite being 16 years apart in age, they quickly felt a connection. Demi later shared that they spent the entire night talking after dinner.

The couple first appeared together on the red carpet in Hollywood at the premiere of Demi Moore’s Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle in June 2003.

Shortly after Ashton and Demi started dating, Ashton, raised in a strict Roman Catholic family, embraced Kabbalah, a type of Judaism that Demi had recently taken up. He became deeply involved in the practice, and in 2011, his Friends With Benefits co-star Natalie Portman remarked that he had taught her more about Judaism than anyone else had.

In the September 2005 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Demi Moore enthusiastically described Ashton Kutcher as her soul mate, saying she felt incredibly lucky to have found him. While she didn’t rule out marriage, she indicated they already felt fully committed and didn’t see a formal ceremony as necessary, stating they weren’t actively waiting for it.

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher secretly got married on September 24, 2005, in Beverly Hills. Around 100 people attended, including Demi’s former husband, Bruce Willis, and their three daughters together.

Ashton Kutcher quickly became part of the Willis-Moore family. Bruce Willis shared that they connected immediately, praising Ashton’s sense of humor. The whole group came together to support Rumer Willis at the premiere of her first big movie, The House Bunny, in Los Angeles in 2008.

I remember when Demi and Ashton were really early adopters of Twitter – it feels like ages ago, back in 2009! They weren’t afraid to just use it, even sharing little everyday things like complaining about their neighbors. But one of my favorite posts was on their fourth anniversary. Ashton tweeted to Demi, ‘@mrskutcher, I’m not sure why we even count the years when our love feels endless, but hey, tradition wins today!’ It was just so sweet and felt really genuine, and I’ve remembered it ever since.

In January 2010, Demi and Ashton established the Demi and Ashton Foundation (DNA) with the goal of protecting children from sexual slavery and exploitation.

After rumors of infidelity surfaced, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher traveled to Israel in October 2010 to try and work through their issues. Ashton shared on Twitter, “Sending love and positive energy from Israel. Hoping we can connect through what we have in common and find solutions where we disagree.”

On November 17, 2011, Demi announced she was divorcing her husband, Ashton. According to a statement released to TopMob News, she said she made the difficult decision to end their six-year marriage with great sadness.
