Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Domain Registered by Ubisoft, Announcement Potentially Soon

Many were surprised Ubisoft didn’t announce the long-expected Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced last year, particularly after a rating appeared on PEGI. While the game is reportedly planned for release by March 31st, 2026, an announcement seems likely to happen soon. A Twitter user, @TheHiddenOneAC, recently found a domain name for the game registered on December 12th, 2025.

Although some questioned whether it was genuine, it was confirmed that GANDI SAS is the entity responsible. This registrar appears to handle domain registration for popular Ubisoft franchises like Far Cry, Assassin’s Creed, and Splinter Cell, among others. Notably, it was created just one day before the domain for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake was registered.

We might hear updates on these games soon, possibly during the next Xbox Developer_Direct—though a date for that hasn’t been announced yet. Ubisoft could also surprise us with an announcement, especially since they haven’t held their own presentations or participated in events like Summer Game Fest or The Game Awards recently.

A remake of the popular 2013 game Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, currently known as Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, is in development. It will feature updated graphics – including realistic weather similar to the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows – and a seamless experience with no loading screens. The remake will also focus solely on the story of Edward Kenway, removing the modern-day segments present in the original.
