Now that Ubisoft has confirmed Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is in development, they’re quickly sharing details with fans. They’ve announced a reveal stream for April 23rd at 9 AM PDT, where they’re expected to show off all the changes and new features.
Ever since 2023, there have been rumors about Resynced, a new game based on the popular 2013 action-adventure title. It was initially expected to release in November 2025, but the delay of Assassin’s Creed Shadows changed those plans. Further delays reportedly occurred after the publisher reorganized, and Jean Guesdon, a co-director on the original game, was put in charge of the franchise’s content.
Recent reports suggest the new update will feature better maps, realistic weather effects similar to those in Shadows (which are visually impressive), and fresh content. However, claims that modern areas will be removed have upset some fans, and it’s currently unclear if those reports are accurate.
A remastered version of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag is in development, but details like release date and which platforms it will be on haven’t been announced yet. We might find out more at an upcoming showcase, so keep an eye out for updates. If you’re interested, you can read our original review, where we gave the game a 9.5/10 for its expansive open world, exciting ship battles, and compelling story.
