Ubisoft is celebrating the second anniversary of *Assassin’s Creed Mirage* with a free update called Valley of Memory. Launching November 18th on PC, PlayStation (PS4 and PS5), Xbox (Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S), and iOS, the update adds new content and continues the game’s story. You can watch the update’s trailer below.
Ubisoft says the new Valley of Memory update will add around six hours of new gameplay and story to *Assassin’s Creed Mirage*. This story takes place before the end of the main game and follows Basim as he investigates rumors that his long-lost father might still be alive in AlUla. During his search, Basim will uncover the threats facing the AlUla valley and learn that his father, though alive, is currently missing.
The AlUla region is now available to explore in *Assassin’s Creed Mirage*, offering unique locations like the historic town of AlUla, the Musa Ibn Msayr fortress, the Valley of the Stones, and the ancient tombs of Hegra.
Once you finish the Black Box missions and contracts added to *Assassin’s Creed Mirage* with the Valley of Memory update, you can play them again. You’ll find them on the objective board under “Animus Sequences,” or you can start them directly from the game world. Playing these missions a second time will present new challenges and encourage you to find different ways to complete them, with unique rewards offered for doing so.
The parkour system in *Assassin’s Creed Mirage* is being improved, letting players control jumps and create fluid movement sequences that weren’t possible before. A new control scheme will make parkour feel smoother, and players will have more options to customize how Basim moves out of climbs and across gaps – something that previously depended on having a clear landing spot.
The game is adding a new skill called Engineer 2, which lets Basim use all basic upgrades for his tools and unlocks powerful new level 3 upgrades as well. Players who want a tougher challenge can also choose from additional difficulty settings to customize how they play.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage first launched in October 2023 for PC (through the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft+), PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X/S. It later became available on Steam for PC players a year later, and more recently, on iPhones with Apple’s newest chips.
