Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Big New Game+, Level Cap Update Arrives Next Week on PS5

Ubisoft announced that the major update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows is scheduled to launch on Tuesday, July 29th.

Highlighting a new, expansive “Continue Plus” feature, players can replay the game after completing it once, retaining all character advancements and gear from their previous playthrough.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what carries over in New Game+:

  • Character level
  • Equipment
  • Knowledge rank
  • Hideout progression

Players finishing a New Game+ run can expect to receive special rewards. These are likely to include unique items such as equipment and character skins, along with new Trophies to add to their collection.

Beyond New Game+, the update will raise the maximum level for all players, increasing it from 60 to 80. This increase comes with new Knowledge tiers, improved Mastery and Knowledge skill levels, as well as enhancements for your hideout amenities.

Additionally, I want to mention that we’re introducing a new project. The developer wants to clarify that this new project won’t disrupt your progress in the earlier challenges. Essentially, you can tackle this new project whenever you’re ready.

Later on in September, you’ll see some minor enhancements as well. These will allow you to clear up the entire map by discovering all viewpoints, and also adjust the game’s internal clock to move forward in time.

And speaking of September, the game’s first expansion, Claws of Awaji, launches on the 16th.
