■ Title Update 10 (October 28)

Parkour Update 2

Hey everyone! We heard what you had to say after the first Parkour update, and we’re super excited to announce another one coming on October 28th! This time, we’re adding something called “Advanced Parkour” – basically, it’s a setting that removes all the height restrictions for things like side ejects and back ejects, letting you do them from any height. We’ve also made some improvements to side ejects when you’re going down, so you’ll have even more control and freedom to move however you want!

We’ve improved the vertical ledge grab in parkour so it works in more situations, even on moving or unstable objects, and this applies whether or not you’ve enabled advanced parkour. When grabbing onto these objects, you’ll now also have the option to perform a beam manual jump. Plus, we’re bringing back the directional catch ledge mechanic, which many players have asked for!

Corrupted Castles

Starting October 28th, a new event called Corrupted Castles will be available. This event can turn castles you’ve already completed into challenging areas filled with Animus anomalies, like the Samurai Daisho, and special reward chests. Each season, up to five corrupted castles will appear on the map, giving you multiple chances to replay them and earn even bigger rewards.

■ Title Update 11 (November 25)

Free Story drops

On November 25th, a new update called “A Puzzlement” will be released. This quest is designed to be lighthearted and funny, similar to the style of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Players will encounter old enemies from Naoe’s past who are seeking a second chance. Throughout the quest, the two main characters will also learn new abilities from one another.

  • Naoe will learn how to perform her own spectacular version of Yasuke’s war kick ability.
  • Yasuke will learn how to stealthily dispatch enemies in a non-lethal way.

“A Puzzlement” features a new, complex environmental puzzle designed to answer many of the questions our community has been asking.

And that’s not all! We’re releasing even more free stories, as we’ve also scheduled another special collaboration to launch on November 25th.

You can also expect a bunch of freebies around the holiday season.

■ Switch 2 Version

The highly anticipated game Assassin’s Creed Shadows will launch on the new Nintendo Switch 2 on December 2nd. The Switch 2 version will include all previously released updates and free content, with the “Claws of Awaji” expansion arriving sometime next year. Players can also continue their progress seamlessly between the Switch 2 and Ubisoft Connect. The Switch 2 version takes advantage of the console’s touch screen, offering a new way to navigate menus, including the world map, store, and hideout.
