Assetto Corsa EVO’s Eifel Free Roam Goes Live in 2026, Promises “Most Accurate Representation”

After a year of quiet, Kunos Simulazioni has revealed that the Eifel Free Roam mode for Assetto Corsa EVO will be released in 2026. They also shared a new teaser video to show off the game’s progress, and it’s both intriguing and beautifully made. You can watch it below.

The short preview shows a driver completing a lap and then waiting for additional information. The camera then pulls back to reveal the huge scale of the racing complex. We then see other key locations at Nürburgring, like a castle on a hilltop, wind turbines in a thick forest, and beautifully illuminated city streets at night. The game world also feels alive with people and animals going about their daily routines in the surrounding areas.

Considering the studio’s size and what they have to work with, the game is remarkably ambitious. The ending sequence, where the player speeds through the world, suddenly makes you realize the danger to anyone caught in their way.

Kunos Simulazioni aims to deliver a highly realistic driving experience of the region, with roads built to suit all types of vehicles, whether you prefer fast-paced or leisurely drives. While there’s no confirmed release date yet, keep an eye out for more information in the months ahead.

Assetto Corsa EVO is currently available on PC through Steam Early Access. Although it had a rocky start, it quickly improved – you can read our review for a full breakdown.
