Finding good, inexpensive gaming equipment is usually easy, but a quality wireless gaming headset for under $100 can be tough. What if you could get a great one for just $60?

The Logitech G321 LIGHTSPEED headset really impressed me, especially considering how affordable it is. It offers surprisingly good design, comfort, performance, and connectivity. While Logitech did have to make a few cuts to keep the price down, they’re not really noticeable.

While the headset’s buttons could be improved, and it would be nice to personalize settings through the Logitech software, these are small issues. Overall, the G321 LIGHTSPEED is the best gaming headset you can get for the price, and it will be hard for competitors to offer a better value.

Comfort and style in one affordable package

Most basic gaming headsets look cheap and feel bulky, but the G321 LIGHTSPEED is different – it doesn’t have that typical, low-quality appearance.

This headset definitely feels like a Logitech product, featuring a smooth, curved design, comfortable memory foam earcups covered in fabric, and a touch of color for style. I find the design appealing, and the G321 is comfortable to wear for extended periods, even with its basic fabric-covered headband.

The G321 is impressively lightweight at just 210g, making it much lighter than many other wireless gaming headsets. It’s designed for simplicity – the microphone mutes with a quick flip, there’s a simple power switch, and you can easily switch between Bluetooth and 2.4GHz connections with a single button. Volume control is also straightforward with the rocker.

It would be great if the button for switching connection modes also controlled music and videos, but unfortunately, it doesn’t. This headset focuses on getting the essential features right, and Logitech has done a good job with those core functions.

The G321 headset has standard 40mm drivers specifically tuned for gaming, but I also found it worked well for video calls, music, and movies. For the price of around $60, the sound quality is quite good, though it’s not the loudest headset I’ve tried. Sometimes the mid-range frequencies can sound a little unclear.

I was really surprised by the mic on this headset, especially for the price! At sixty bucks, I expected something pretty basic, but it actually performs really well. I especially like how easy it is to mute – just flip it up! It’s not the *most* amazing mic ever, but my voice always came through clearly, and it did a good job of blocking out extra noise. Honestly, the only downside is that recordings just sound a little…flat, you know?

The G321 significantly cuts back on features compared to other headsets. Beyond the missing media controls, it lacks internal storage, customizable audio profiles, software for adjusting sound or monitoring your microphone, the ability to mix audio from multiple sources, Xbox compatibility, and even the option for a wired connection.

The battery life isn’t a standout feature. Logitech estimates around 20 hours of use, which is less than many other wireless headsets and headphones offer. I found myself needing to recharge the G321 during testing. Luckily, it charges quickly and easily with a USB-C cable.

The G321 definitely feels like a budget headset. While it’s surprisingly well-made and seems durable enough to withstand a lot of wear and tear, it won’t be mistaken for a more expensive model.

I was really impressed with the Logitech G522 LIGHTSPEED headset, and the G321 feels like a slightly simpler, more budget-friendly version – it’s actually $100 cheaper! The G321 performed so well that I often forgot how affordable it was, which is a great achievement for Logitech.
