The upcoming expansion, Blood on Crystal, will wrap up the story of Atomic Heart, and a new trailer just revealed its release date: April 16th. Be warned: the trailer contains spoilers for those who haven’t completed the main game.
Okay, so the next expansion picks up right after that crazy cliffhanger where CHAR-les totally stabbed P-3 in the back and made off! All the other expansions have dealt with the other endings, but this one feels like it might actually wrap things up and give us some real closure, which I’m really hoping for.
In Annihilation Instinct, we see what happens after Zakharov escapes from Facility 3826. He takes control of Kolloctive 2.0, which leads to a crisis that unexpectedly pits him against his ex-mother-in-law.
After experiencing “Trapped in Limbo” and “Enchantment Under the Sea”, P-3 was able to reconnect with the spirit of his late wife, Blesna. Now, with his Polymer arm fixed and Blesna inhabiting the body of one of the Twins, they’re ready to chase after CHAR-les. Blesna also has a special ring that gives her powerful access to the Kollective 2.0 network.
It’s still unclear how the characters will use their newfound powers against the Polymorphs – creatures created by Charles’s experiments – but if this latest update is similar to previous ones, it promises to be an exciting journey. You can check out the trailer below for a preview.
