Even though the Attack on Titan anime and manga have finished, the series remains popular. Next year, a remastered version of the film Attack on Titan: The Last Attack will be shown in Japanese cinemas, showing continued fan interest in the story of the Scout Regiment. And now, in a surprising development, the franchise is expanding with a new “Attack on Titan Murder Mystery” experience.
Studio Ozone is creating a board game based on Attack on Titan, and while a release date hasn’t been announced, the collaboration is officially happening. The studio previously made successful “murder mystery” games with other anime like Tokyo Revengers. These games let players work together to solve a crime – and sometimes one player even acts as the hidden criminal, trying to mislead everyone else! We don’t yet know which murder players will investigate in the Attack on Titan game, but you can find confirmation of the partnership below.

Murder on Titan
Given how famous Attack on Titan was for its intense action and tragic events, it’s not surprising that the series would work well as a murder mystery. The franchise, created by Hajime Isayama, also built a strong reputation for its intriguing secrets, with characters like Eren, Armin, and Mikasa constantly trying to uncover the truth about their world and the origins of the Titans. True to the rest of the story, the ending of Attack on Titan was emotionally complex—even the characters who survived were deeply affected by the events that unfolded.
It’s hard to say what’s next for Attack on Titan. The creator, Hajime Isayama, has stated he doesn’t plan a full sequel, though he has released short stories to expand the world. More recently, Kodansha, the manga’s publisher, announced they’re starting a movie studio to adapt their popular series for film. Given Attack on Titan‘s massive popularity, it’s likely to be a priority for the studio. These new movies will be different from previous live-action adaptations, as they’ll involve major Hollywood talent.
