Since it first aired in 2013, the anime Attack on Titan – based on the popular manga by Hajime Isayama – has become incredibly popular. After three seasons, the animation moved from WIT Studio to MAPPA, the studio known for shows like Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man, due to a tight deadline for finishing the story. MAPPA improved the animation quality and helped the series reach an even wider audience. The final season jumps ahead four years and follows Eren as he grapples with difficult truths. Even though the story is complete, Attack on Titan continues to release new content and projects.
2026 began with a special cinematic release of Attack on Titan: The Final Chapter – The Last Attack. This film was a remastered version for Dolby Cinema, combining both parts of the anime’s finale. To encourage fans to see it in theaters, the release included new artwork by Hajime Isayama. Isayama created another piece of art featuring Levi Ackerman and Eren Yeager to celebrate the manga’s 16th anniversary. According to Mantan Web, a preview of this artwork will be given as a bonus to those who purchase the series’ illustration panel.
Attack on Titan Features Eren and Levi in a New Visual By Hajime Isayama

The artwork shows Eren and Levi sitting and talking over tea. It’s a scene that takes place after a significant time jump in the story, and it’s notable because Eren and Levi never actually get a moment like this together in the original narrative. Though both characters are very popular on their own, they aren’t often highlighted as a pair. Levi played a key role in Eren’s journey, rescuing him from certain punishment and bringing him into the Survey Corps after it was discovered Eren had Titan abilities.
Armin Arlert and Mikasa Ackerman soon joined the team, creating a new group alongside other popular characters. According to Mantan Web, the sales team is enthusiastic about the new artwork that will be included with every purchase. Last year, it was announced that the anniversary project would give fans a special preview of Hajime Isayama’s original illustrations and allow them to vote for their favorite from a selection of 52.
The artwork from the manga is being released as full-color collectibles, and fans will be able to create their own custom merchandise using unique serial numbers. The creator is also contributing a special, exclusive illustration panel. These collectibles are drawn from a selection of 52 images taken from the manga’s 34 volumes – including covers, individual panels, and extra illustrations. One of the included visuals will be the cover of the official artbook, FLY, which features popular characters.
