Even though Attack on Titan has ended both in its manga and anime versions, the spirit of the Scout Regiment, led by Eren Jaeger and his fellow warriors, is difficult to completely suppress. The impact of the anime series has lingered for years and will likely continue to do so for many more. Fortunately, this means that Titans and their adversaries still find themselves in unanticipated settings. This autumn, the series conceived by creator Hajime Isayama is joining forces with Japan for the World Athletics Championship, and it has fresh images and merchandise to showcase this collaboration.
For people not familiar with the World Athletics Championships, this bi-annual competition started in 1983, following the removal of the “men’s 50 kilometer race” from the original Olympics in 1976. Since then, the games have been held in various parts of the world, and this year they will take place in Tokyo, Japan. Seizing the moment, the anime series Attack on Titan is launching special merchandise for the event. Though sports references are scarce in the war between Paradis and Marley, the return of the Survey Corps is always enjoyable.
The upcoming partnership is announced as ‘Attack on Titan’ meets World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025! In honor of the 2025 World Athletics Championships, exclusive merchandise will be launched, featuring characters from Attack on Titan like Eren, Mikasa, Levi, Hange, and ArmourTitan. These unique items showcase a spirit of speed, drawing inspiration from athletes pushing the boundaries of human potential. The collaboration goods are set to launch as we kick off the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships on September 13th. Some merchandise will be available in stores starting from the 30th of that month. Here’s a sneak peek at this thrilling collaboration!

Attack on Titan: The End is The Beginning
Though Attack on Titan concluded in a manner that hinted at the Titans’ potential comeback, creator Hajime Isayama hasn’t explicitly confirmed a return to his anime universe. The finale’s scene showing a young character discovering Eren Jaeger’s grave suggests a resumption of the Titan cycle, but it seems more symbolic than definitive. Fortunately, Isayama has been open to revisiting the series with spin-off stories like “Attack on Titan: Bad Boy”. This extra tale didn’t delve into the future, but it shed light on Levi’s backstory instead.
Speaking of Isayama, he hasn’t shared any news about starting a new manga series as of now. Interestingly, the creator of Attack on Titan once expressed his dream to open a sauna. Although his personal sauna project hasn’t been realized yet, we have seen collaborations between the anime franchise and other establishments in the past.
