Aubrey O’Day Hospitalized, Misses Danity Kane Reunion Concert

Aubrey O’Day was dealing with a show-stopper.

Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day was unable to perform at the group’s Los Angeles reunion concert on December 10th because she was hospitalized and battling an illness.

O’Day shared on Instagram (via TMZ) that she’s too sick to perform tonight and is currently at the emergency room. She apologized to her fans for having to cancel the show.

The 41-year-old explained that they’d been struggling all day to find a solution, but ultimately accepted that being unwell is something you can’t control. They said they’d been going over and over it in their mind, trying to make things work, but illness just happens.

O’Day was heartbroken about disappointing her fans, but she trusted her bandmates, Aundrea Fimbres and D. Woods, to deliver a great performance anyway.

The singer of “Ride For You” said she was confident the girls would put on a fantastic show, and she promised to return as soon as she was physically able.

TopMob News has reached out to O’Day’s rep for comment, but has not heard back.

Dawn Richard’s illness happened right as Danity Kane began their ‘Untold Chapter’ reunion tour, starting in San Francisco on December 9th. The group is next scheduled to perform in Uncasville, Connecticut, on December 12th and 13th.

The group first formed on MTV’s Making the Band in 2005 with Sean “Diddy” Combs, took a break in 2009, and has since reunited in different versions. They announced a new tour in October, initially hinting at who would be participating. Ultimately, they revealed that Shannon Bex, who left in 2019, and Dawn Richard, who left in 2020, would not be joining the tour.

The tour was also intended to give the group a chance to shine independently, especially while Combs was dealing with his legal issues.

After the public learned about the hardships the members of Danity Kane faced, they decided to come together again. In an October Instagram post, the group explained they weren’t reuniting simply for the sake of the past or to stay quiet, but as a completely new and previously unheard chapter in their story.

They described their ‘Untold Chapter Tour’ as more than just a concert – it’s a chance to finally understand the full story, reveal hidden truths, and witness a reunion everyone had given up on.

Following the July verdict where Combs was convicted of transporting individuals for prostitution but cleared of sex trafficking and racketeering, O’Day publicly shared her reaction.

She said she was still processing how significant this all is, and that the cultural impact of the decision is enormous. She also expressed her sadness about the many people affected by Sean Combs’ actions, and how disappointing it was to see their stories not fully acknowledged by the jury.

O’Day isn’t alone in opening up about health challenges. If you’re interested in hearing about other celebrities who have faced health issues, continue reading.

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids – non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus – in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.

She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.

She explained that many girls are taught to accept period pain as a normal part of womanhood. This often leads to women silently dealing with something that impacts a large part of their lives.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, causing a gap in her abdominal muscles.

Okay, so Suki hasn’t posted on X (formerly Twitter) in ages, and it’s seriously stressing me out! Someone actually asked her about it, and her reply? Unbelievable. She said, and I quote, ‘Have you ever considered I wore pants so tight 6 months ago it caused a hernia & I’ve been too scared to tell you?’ A HERNIATEDISC because of PANTS?! Honestly, only Suki could make something like that happen and then just casually drop it into a tweet. I’m living for the chaos, but also… please be okay, Suki!

Adam Devine revealed that he still feels the effects of injuries he suffered as a child when he was hit by a cement truck at age 11.

In a 2025 interview on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast, Devine described the past year as a “nightmare.” He explained that he’s been experiencing spasms all over his body, and doctors initially believed his condition was life-threatening.

He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying his body has some minor imperfections and isn’t quite working as it should.

Let me tell you, I recently had a really scary health experience. I ended up in the hospital because of some truly awful back pain. It got so bad during a road trip with a friend that I literally had to crawl on my hands and knees to get help. It was a painful reminder to prioritize self-care, even when you’re having fun!

He described a lingering tingling sensation in his knees and toes during a March 2025 episode of his podcast, Trading Secrets. He explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a single squat or stand on one leg without falling. He compared the feeling to having a stroke.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

As a lot of you know, I share a lot of my life, and I wanted to let you know that my ex-husband, Matt, had a heart attack back in March of this year. Thankfully, he pulled through, and we’re all so relieved. It was a really scary time, but he’s doing much better now.

In March 2025, the actor from 30 Rock experienced a medical issue at a New York Knicks game and had to be helped out of Madison Square Garden.

The comedian later posted an update on social media explaining he had food poisoning and was starting to feel better.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! Christy Carlson Romano – seriously, Shia LaBeouf’s co-star from Even Stevens – told everyone she was SHOT in the face! Can you even imagine?! It happened while she was on a fun little birthday trip with her husband, Brendan Rooney, to go clay pigeon shooting. I’m just… completely shocked and so worried about her!

In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party who fired a weapon unsafely. Brendan Rooney quickly helped her, evaluating her injuries and immediately taking her to the hospital. She was hit five times, and one bullet narrowly missed her right eye by less than an inch.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its often harsh nature, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” and receiving negative comments online, doctors began commenting, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome, a condition often linked to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted Schumer to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. She wouldn’t have known about the condition, Cushing syndrome, without the online feedback. In a recent newsletter, Schumer shared that she’s relieved to learn her type of Cushing syndrome is temporary and that she is healthy. She considers this the best possible news.

During a December 2024 game, an AHL player was accidentally cut in the skate by another player and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son made a full recovery, New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald told ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very lucky, and I wouldn’t want any parent to go through that.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly began having stroke-like symptoms, unable to speak and experiencing drooping on the right side of her face. Although these symptoms eventually subsided, she went to the hospital for evaluation. Doctors discovered she had suffered a small blood clot to the brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). The blood clot had traveled through this hole and to her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey successfully underwent a procedure to close the PFO and is now recovering well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also mentioned it became increasingly difficult to eat.

Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary but assuring everyone he would be completely fine and was grateful he was on the mend.

As a huge fan, I was so worried when I heard about Jamie Foxx’s health scare back in April 2023. He kept things pretty quiet at first, but he finally shared what happened in his new Netflix special, and it was really powerful. He described having a terrible headache one day while in Atlanta, and before he could even take an aspirin, he blacked out. He actually doesn’t remember the next 20 days at all!

He initially went to a doctor who gave him a cortisone shot, but thankfully, his sister Deidra realized something was seriously wrong and drove him to the hospital. That’s where they discovered he’d had a brain bleed which led to a stroke.

Twenty days after surgery, on May 4th, he woke up in a wheelchair, unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for intense rehab and therapy to get his strength back. He’s incredibly grateful for all the prayers he received, saying he truly needed every single one. It’s amazing to see his recovery and hear him share his story with such honesty.

The reality TV star said she briefly stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC show.

She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, she remembered only darkness, followed by light, leading her to realize she had died that day.

She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially begins to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the series, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she struggled with aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.

Though she left the hospital after a month, a follow-up scan in 2013 revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure initially failed, causing a major bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia has since made a full recovery and is now at 100%.

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently shared her gratitude for her family’s support after she experienced a stroke in January 2024. She immediately reached out to them, sending a text and photo, and they quickly came to her aid, as she told TopMob News’ Will Marfuggi in December 2024. While she could have been discharged after the stroke, Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer due to complications with her lupus and kidney issues. Thankfully, Cori is now recovering well. “I’m doing great,” she said, adding that she’s been working to regain some motor skills but is otherwise feeling fine.

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she described a time when she was losing her hearing, unable to walk for more than five minutes without needing to rest for hours, and experiencing constant stomach pain. She faced conflicting diagnoses from various doctors.

Determined to find answers, Shailene, who has chosen not to publicly disclose her specific condition, combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being spanned a decade.

She explained that the physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own body.

Ultimately, Shailene’s health journey led to recovery. “I am very healthy,” she shared, expressing her happiness to be in a good place now.
