Jefferson “Black Lightning” Pierce is set to shine once more! It’s been officially confirmed that DC Comics will launch a new Black Lightning miniseries, penned by Brandon Thomas and illustrated by Fico Ossio, as part of their November 2024 lineup. The five-issue series will stem from the aftermath of the recent “Absolute Power” crossover event and Jefferson’s involvement in Mark Waid and Dan Mora’s “Justice League Unlimited.” This upcoming storyline is part of DC’s All In initiative, and will feature Jefferson’s superhero daughters, Anissa Pierce (Thunder) and Jennifer Pierce (Lightning), as co-stars. The first issue of Black Lightning hits shelves on November 13th, with artwork by Ossio adorning the main cover, while Sanford Greene, Taurin Clarke, and Juliet Nneka provide variant covers.

The Librarians: The Next Chapter Pulled From CW Fall Schedule

It appears that “The Librarians: The Next Chapter,” a spinoff of “The Librarians,” has been removed from The CW’s fall schedule, as reported by Variety. Instead of its original debut on October 24th at 9 p.m. ET, the timeslot will now be occupied by the docuseries “The Wranglers” following “Superman & Lois.” A new premiere date for “The Librarians: The Next Chapter” has not been announced yet. The removal of the series from the fall schedule comes about two months after its initial premiere date was announced by the network and five months after it was confirmed that the series would be part of their overall fall lineup.

One of the highly awaited horror releases this fall is “Apartment 7A” on Paramount+. Though it’s a prequel to “Rosemary’s Baby”, its title may not initially hint at its connection to the classic Satanic tale. However, the first poster for the film deliberately echoes the timeless look of the 1968 movie featuring Mia Farrow, but also offers a contemporary twist on that imagery to signal how this new film will challenge viewers’ expectations. Alien: Romulus Reveals Hilarious Ad Parody of Deep Cut Easter Egg

As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled that “Alien: Resurrection” hit the big screen today! This latest addition to the iconic franchise is helmed by Fede Alvarez, who gave us the chilling “Evil Dead” in 2013, and produced by none other than Ridley Scott, the original mastermind behind the “Alien” universe. Currently, it’s receiving high praise on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 81% critics score and an impressive 87% audience score.
