Project Hail Mary – REVIEW

The film centers around Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling), a former science teacher who wakes up alone on a spaceship, far from Earth, to discover his entire crew is dead. Through flashbacks, we learn he was chosen for a critical space mission due to a unique theory he proposed. Eva Stratt (Sandra Huller), the head of the space program, saw potential in his unconventional ideas because a devastating virus is killing the sun and threatening all planets except one. They desperately need Grace to understand what’s happening and find a way to reverse the crisis.

Mario Day Continues to Highlight the Most Disappointing About Nintendo

While Mario Day is a celebration of Nintendo’s history, it also points out how poorly the company handles sales and rewards its fans. Discounts on this day are usually very small, with the biggest ones topping out around 33%. Considering many of the games on sale are several years old, or simply re-releases from older consoles, it’s a letdown. Other game companies often offer discounts of 50% or more, which makes Nintendo seem unusually reluctant to offer significant sales this generation.

Project Hail Mary Is a Superb Sci-fi Adaptation and Ryan Gosling Needs an Oscar Nomination (Review)

Turning Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary into a live-action movie doesn’t quite seem like the right move. Weir’s already received critical acclaim, and The Martian even earned a Best Picture nomination. While this project might not immediately seem like something Lord and Miller usually do, the film actually fits perfectly with their previous work. They’ve mastered comedy, proven their ability to direct action sequences, and worked with groundbreaking visual effects – and Project Hail Mary brings all of that together. It’s a high point in their careers and confirms their status as some of today’s most important filmmakers.
