The anime is gearing up for a deadly battle between sorcerers immediately following the conclusion of the Perfect Preparation Arc in Season 3, Episode 4. Though details about what happens next are still unknown, the upcoming conflict, known as the Culling Game, has been in the works for six years. Interestingly, the anime’s very first opening hinted at this major event long before it began in the manga, foreshadowing the chaos to come.

I’ve been thinking about how genuinely frightening Supernatural could be, and I’ve put together five episodes that really prove it can be as scary as anything else out there. Seriously, if Dean Winchester – a guy who hunts monsters for a living – can get spooked by something, you know it’s good stuff!

You can now stream the movie The Perfect Storm on Peacock, where it became available on January 1st. Directed by Wolfgang Petersen, this dramatic film is based on the true story of the Andrea Gail, a fishing boat lost at sea during the incredibly powerful 1991 Perfect Storm. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, George Clooney, John C. Reilly, Diane Lane, William Fichtner, and John Hawkes as the crew of the Andrea Gail.

In addition to his well-known works like A Girl on the Shore, Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction, and Nijigahara Holograph, Asano has become one of the most highly regarded manga artists ever. He began a new series, Mujina into the Deep, in Big Comics Superior magazine in 2023. His fans eagerly await each new project, whether it’s a full series or a short story. Recently, however, he surprised many by hinting at retirement on X, expressing concerns about the growing use of AI in both professional work and on social media.

We intentionally didn’t include superhero films, as they deserve their own separate list. The same is true for action comedies like The Other Guys – people mostly watch them for the humor and easygoing vibe, not the action sequences.
