Though many Avatar fans anticipated the arrival of this new Na’vi clan before the release of Fire and Ash, Varang and the Ash People are portrayed as overly simplistic, which weakens the complex characterization of the Na’vi established throughout the Avatar franchise.

Many martial arts anime also demonstrate a genuine appreciation for the art form, highlighting various styles, techniques, and the philosophies that underpin them.
