Paramount Pictures released the movie Clue on December 13, 1985, almost forty years ago. Today, it’s common to see movies based on books, comics, or other existing stories, but back then, adaptations weren’t the foundation of Hollywood, particularly not those based on board games. Making a Clue movie was already unexpected, but the most unusual part of its creation happened even before filming began. The filmmakers had a groundbreaking idea for the time: they planned to create multiple different endings for the movie, and each theater would randomly show one of them.

After the success of Forrest Gump in 1994, director Robert Zemeckis and Tom Hanks teamed up again in 2000 for the well-known survival story Cast Away. The film stars Hanks as Chuck Noland, a FedEx employee who becomes stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash. It became available on Netflix on December 7th and was both a critical and financial success, earning two Academy Award nominations and making over $429 million around the world.

Each actor who has played Batman in live-action films has brought their own unique take to the character, but some performances are definitely more popular and well-received than others. While some casting choices now seem questionable, others have been surprisingly successful, with actors exceeding expectations in the role. Ultimately, each Batman actor has contributed something different, but a few stand out as truly exceptional.

During today’s celebration of the City Connection’s 20th anniversary, the game’s title and first piece of artwork were revealed. The artwork shows JaJaMaru-kun with a sword, alongside Sakura Hime, Namazu Dayuu, and other beloved and new characters from Japanese folklore.

Retsu Unohana was incredibly strong within the Soul Society, but even that wasn’t enough to protect her when she battled Kenpachi. In the anime version of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, Unohana understands that Kenpachi needs to become even more powerful to defeat Yhwach and his army. Their fight reveals Kenpachi’s past and the surprising history of his name – Unohana actually held the title before him, eventually passing it on. She sacrifices her life to help Kenpachi grow stronger, seemingly unlocking his Bankai – a powerful ability Bleach fans haven’t seen him use in the anime yet. To honor her memory, Viz Media released a special tribute video for Retsu Unohana.

Fans of James Bond have a lot to look forward to! All of the 007 films, including Never Say Never Again, will be available on Netflix starting January 15th. While most of these movies are new to the streaming service, viewers in some countries won’t be able to watch No Time To Die.
