Malcolm in the Middle Revival: Life’s Still Unfair Teaser & Cast Updates

Hulu just dropped the first teaser for the Malcolm in the Middle revival, titled Life’s Still Unfair. The teaser shows someone getting their back shaved, a nod to the original show’s opening sequence featuring Bryan Cranston. It’s been almost 20 years since viewers last saw the Heffernan family, and the new series is scheduled to stream on Disney+ in 2026, though an exact release date hasn’t been announced.

Paramount Cancels Upcoming Area 51 Sci-Fi Movie

As a big movie fan, I was disappointed to read in The Hollywood Reporter that a few projects at Paramount have been scrapped. Sadly, that Area 51 film with Colin Trevorrow directing and Ryan Reynolds producing isn’t happening anymore. It’s also a shame about the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off spin-off, Victor and Sam’s Day Off, and the Eloise adaptation – another one Ryan Reynolds was involved with, actually! They were also planning a romantic sports drama called Winter Games with Miles Teller, but that’s off the table too. Interestingly, Eloise has already been picked up by Netflix, so at least that story might still make it to the screen.

Netflix has officially agreed to buy Warner Bros., including its movie and TV studios, HBO Max, and HBO. However, the deal isn’t finalized yet and still needs to be approved by regulators worldwide. If it goes through, Bank of America predicts this would essentially end the competition among streaming services, leaving Netflix as the clear leader.

NCIS: Origins Season 2 Casts Fed Five Task Force Members

The new series will also feature some returning characters from the original NCIS. Recently, it was revealed that Shea Buckner, who appeared in season 5 of Only Murders in the Building, will take on the role of Dwayne Pride – a character previously played by Scott Bakula. Two more well-known actors will also be joining the cast.
