This year, Manga Plus released 58 different manga titles. As expected, the most popular manga of 2025 is the sequel to Gege Akutami’s hit series, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. Akutami wrote the story, with illustrations by Yuji Iwasaki. The first chapter of the sequel quickly gained over 1.7 million views, significantly outpacing the next most popular titles, Otr of the Flame and Metaphor: ReFantazio, which each received just over 300,000 views. The success of Modulo confirms Jujutsu Kaisen‘s position as a leading franchise for a new generation of anime and manga fans.

The latest film essentially restarted the Purge story, revealing that the authoritarian New Founding Fathers of America have regained control and secretly launched a new, ongoing wave of violence called the Forever Purge. This means the annual Purge night with its set rules is over, and people are now freely committing acts of violence whenever they want – a frightening development for the country, but a promising one for the filmmakers, who have opened up exciting new possibilities for future movies.

I’m a big fan of when heroes combine their powers, and it’s happened a lot in Marvel and DC comics. Today, I want to highlight five of the most awesome hero fusions that deserve to appear more often. Some of these combinations are recurring characters who are always welcome, while others were one-time events that had a lot of potential. Either way, I think they’re all worth seeing more of.
