The first trailer for the new Harry Potter TV series was released on March 25th, and it announced the show will premiere during the Christmas season of 2026. The trailer also introduced viewers to the actors playing the main characters: Dominic Laughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.

Matt’s good fortune doesn’t last through the first episode. His friend, ex-detective Cherry, is targeted by the AVTF, and things look dire until Daredevil steps in. Unfortunately, Cherry suffers a heart attack, momentarily distracting Matt and allowing Fisk’s men to overwhelm and unmask him. Before they can finish him off or tell Fisk his secret, a sniper eliminates the entire AVTF team. As a big gamer, I always check Metacritic to see how the year’s releases stack up. They’ve started doing a really detailed breakdown of each major publisher, and their 2025 report was interesting. Square Enix and Capcom seemed to be doing great, but it really pointed out some struggles for Nintendo and Sony. Looking back, what makes Takumi such a memorable villain isn’t some flashy superpower. It’s how convincingly he manipulates people – it feels incredibly real. It’s still not completely clear exactly how Pixomondo is shutting down. While Sony is taking on some of Pixomondo’s employees and work, the closure will likely also result in job losses.
The new TV show will premiere this Christmas, much sooner than the previously announced release date of early 2027.
Director Will Ropp did a great job with this movie. The character of Brian is fascinating and complex – he might seem frustrating at first, but most viewers will find themselves rooting for him by the end. The film has a genuine emotional core, and it’s enhanced by a terrific supporting cast.
