Instead of following the story chronologically, we get glimpses of Frieren’s voyage with Himmel’s group that not only provide emotional depth but also influence her present choice to reconnect with Himmel’s spirit and delve deeper into him to alleviate her most profound regret. This narrative style enables viewers to experience the progression of time in a subtle yet poignant trip down memory lane, with Himmel serving as the focal point of these reminiscences. Upon rewatching the anime, these 10 flashbacks resonate much more deeply than on my initial viewing.

The DC Universe currently boasts a number of well-known antagonists across its expansive narrative, such as Lex Luthor and the Engineer (from Superman), along with several characters from Creature Commandos. However, there’s still a plethora of iconic DC villains eagerly awaiting their turn in the limelight, with Gunn having previously tapped one for Peacemaker Season 2.
