While there aren’t any releases this week that can rival the fame of a show like Wednesday, this upcoming wave features a fresh animated series from the creator of BoJack Horseman.

In a new twist, Joshua Williamson and artist Dan Mora have introduced an evil counterpart of the Legion, serving under Darkseid. The wicked Legion of Super-Heroes, who have been prominent figures in DC’s All-In Initiative, particularly in the Superman series, have surfaced frequently. Dan Mora has unveiled sneak peeks for upcoming issues of Superman, disclosing that the virtuous Legion from the future has been eliminated. Although it’s sad to see our beloved characters perish, there’s a glimmer of hope in knowing that the latest manifestation of the Legion of Super-Heroes has ceased to exist. This paves the way for a potential, and hopefully classic, revival of the Legion.

In a strange, mystical world, the narrative of ‘The Last Guardian’ unfolds, centered around a young boy who stumbles upon an enigmatic creature. A profound connection develops between them, and they become inseparable. As the duo forge an unusual alliance, they band together to navigate towering, treacherous ruins brimming with unforeseen perils. This video game is renowned for its poignant, emotional narrative that explores themes of friendship and trust. It boasts a Metascore of 82 and a user score of 7.8 on Metacritic. Despite some mechanical flaws during development, it has been highly praised for its depth and emotional resonance.

In “Captain America: Civil War,” Steve Rogers and Tony Stark clash due to their contrasting opinions on the Sokovia Accords, a set of regulations aimed at preventing the Avengers from taking individual action when a global catastrophe occurs. The film sparks thought-provoking debates about both sides’ viewpoints. However, by the end of their long-standing conflict, it becomes apparent which team stands morally superior over the years.

As a cinephile with a soft spot for the X-Men franchise, I’m thrilled to share that Disney’s acquisition of Hulu has opened up a treasure trove of mutant adventures for streaming! Now, you can delve into classics like X-Men, X2: X-Men United, and X-Men: The Last Stand, all the way up to more recent entries such as X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, The New Mutants, and even the gritty masterpiece, Logan.

However, it’s worth noting that some of these films are only accessible through Hulu’s Premium Subscriptions. So, if you’re as excited about mutant mayhem as I am, consider upgrading your account to get the full X-perience!
