Kirkman shared his initial motivation for getting involved in the development of the Energon universe: “As a child born in 1978, I was captivated by Transformers when it debuted in 1984. I watched the Transformers movie at the theater and though I claimed to have seen G.I. Joe’s movie there, I doubt it happened. I rushed home daily to watch both Transformers and G.I. Joe shows, and owned toys from both lines. My first comic was a G.I. Joe issue, and my introduction to Spider-Man’s black suit came via a Transformers comic. Throughout the years, I embraced all versions of Transformers and G.I. Joe, and still collect their toys.

The chilling remake of Walt Disney’s classic 1928 animated short film Steamboat Willie, which introduced Mickey Mouse to the world, is now available for streaming on Peacock under the title Screamboat. This spine-tingling horror comedy made its online debut on September 12th, following a theatrical release in April 2025. The story revolves around a group of unsuspecting passengers aboard the last ferry of the night in New York City, who become the targets of a ruthless rodent during a shocking massacre. David Howard Thornton, famed for his role as Art the Clown in the Terrifier series, stars alongside Allison Pittel, Amy Schumacher, Jesse Posey, Kailey Hyman, Jesse Kove, and Jarlath Conroy in this latest addition to the comedy horror genre.
