For a while now, Marvel Studios has been laying the groundwork for a bigger return of its street-level heroes, first with Wilson Fisk in Hawkeye and Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The second season of Daredevil: Born Again marks an even more significant comeback, bringing Krysten Ritter back as Jessica Jones and officially adding a second member of The Defenders to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Interestingly, the series is also shifting the timeline, aiming for a period when the movies and shows weren’t as interconnected – a time many fans consider to have been more successful. After a few years, it looks like Marvel Television is finally heading in the right direction.

Absolutely, ER is widely considered the greatest medical drama ever made. If you enjoyed The Pitt, you’ll likely love it too, as both shows are set in similar locations, star Noah Wyle, and deal with the serious realities of life and death faced by doctors. You’ll quickly get invested in characters like Dana Evans (Katherine LaNasa) and find yourself wanting more of Dr. Jack Abbot (Shawn Hatosy), while also rooting for Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle). While The Pitt Season 2 has its flaws, ER stands out as the better show overall, primarily for one key reason.

Disney has experienced both huge successes, like The Lion King, and significant failures, such as the live-action Snow White. While it appears they’re making fewer live-action remakes, they’ve actually just become more careful about which ones they produce. The positive reception to the recent Lilo & Stitch remake shows that this approach can still work.

I have to say, when adaptations get it right, they really get it right. These fantasy films prove why taking a beloved book to the big screen can be so magical. They don’t get lost in all the world-building and special effects; instead, they manage to create a truly spectacular experience while still keeping the characters relatable and engaging. This movie absolutely nails that balance.
