At San Diego Comic-Con, ComicBook had the opportunity to chat with Mike P. Nelson, the director of “Sweet Revenge”. They asked him what sparked the idea for this latest “Friday the 13th” project. Nelson, who’s known for his horror work on the “Wrong Turn” reboot and the upcoming revamp of “Silent Night, Deadly Night”, pointed to a particular installment as the high point of his admiration for the franchise.

This developer is primarily recognized for their contributions to the creation of fighting games, and the prospect of them crafting one set in the Marvel universe has generated much enthusiasm. Naturally, the fighting game community is particularly enthusiastic about this, and they’ve already shared some feedback on Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, but it seems likely that it will still prove to be an outstanding new game. However, the new game won’t be released until next year. Yet, fans eagerly awaiting it can get their hands on it sooner, provided they own a PS5.

In the comic book series “Fantastic Four,” first appearing in issue #8 of 1961, we meet Alicia Masters. She’s the blind step-daughter of one of the Four’s arch-nemesis, the Puppet Master. Over time, she proved crucial in thwarting his mind-controlling schemes that aimed to conquer the world. Since her initial appearance, Alicia has remained intertwined with the lives of the Four, quickly bonding with Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing. Despite his rough, monstrous exterior, she was one of the first individuals to appreciate his true worth and forge a meaningful relationship with him. As an accomplished artist and sculptor, Alicia is renowned for finding beauty in things that others often overlook, which extends to her appreciation of Ben Grimm as well.

This game, Mage Arena, isn’t a meticulous analysis of mechanics or a serious power-playing guide. Instead, it’s chaotic, whimsical, and surprisingly intelligent. The rules aren’t heavily emphasized, and you cast spells by speaking aloud. So if you’ve ever exclaimed “fireball” into your microphone without any response, consider this your invitation – you’re not alone in the club.

Since 2015, Jason Momoa and co-creator Thomas Pa’a Sibbett have been developing the concept for the series “Chief of War“, delving deeply into research to fully develop their idea. Although Momoa has been a part of Hollywood for some time, it was his roles in “Game of Thrones” and the DC Extended Universe that significantly boosted his career. This newfound success enabled him to propose “Chief of War” to Apple and its streaming service. In 2022, the streaming platform agreed to produce “Chief of War“, following a positive collaboration between Momoa and the service on the series “See.

The event is scheduled for a brief span, from September 5th to 7th. It seems this edition will resemble the one available for playing at Evo 2025, with the addition of online lobbies and matchmaking features.
