39 Years Ago Today, Star Trek Released Its Most Surprising Sequel (With a Moment Unlike Anything Else in the Franchise)

Interestingly, Captain Kirk’s most famous time travel story didn’t actually appear in the original Star Trek series. After Star Wars became a hit, Star Trek moved to the big screen with a string of successful movies. The crew of the Enterprise proved just as popular with movie audiences—maybe even more so—and several films were released. House of the Dragon Season 3 First Footage Reveals Rhaenyra’s War Against the Show’s Best Villain

The first look at the upcoming third season reveals the continuation of key storylines. The footage also offers quick looks at other characters, including a scarred Aegon, Otto Hightower, Criston Cole, and Daemon Targaryen, who is gearing up for war. We also see Alicent Hightower embracing Aemond.

That’s why I was so thrilled to hear that director Jon M. Chu changed things during filming. Originally, they planned to have Elphaba moving at the beginning of the song, which would have meant Cynthia had to detach from her harness while they were filming! He smartly decided against that, and it was the right call – it’s all about letting her performance breathe.
