In an interview with Screen Rant, director Dane Trachtenberg discussed the origins of Predator: Badlands. He explained that he wanted a story where the Predator actually wins. Initially, he considered setting the film during World War II, with the creature battling Nazis. Trachtenberg said he noticed fans often questioned why the Predator frequently loses, given its reputation as the galaxy’s ultimate hunter. He wanted to address that by creating a scenario where the Predator could truly succeed.

Directed by Ugo Bienvenu and co-written with Felix de Givry, Arco looks incredibly promising based on its first trailer, suggesting it will be a real treat for fans. The film boasts a fantastic voice cast including Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Natalie Portman, Flea, Andy Samberg, and Mark Ruffalo, but even without dialogue, it immediately draws you in.

These five Batman stories are confusing, even if they’re still enjoyable. Parts of them don’t quite add up or are hard to follow. One story, in particular, is considered exceptionally bad, and its illogical plot is just one of its many problems.

But that’s actually what makes this early anime so interesting. The 1960s were like anime’s formative years – a bit rough around the edges, but full of creativity and genuine feeling. These creators weren’t focused on making anime perfect; they were exploring its potential, and in doing so, they established a high standard that anime continues to strive for today. Everything that’s become popular since has built on this foundation, rather than completely reinventing it.

Both of these situations make a strong argument for bringing a show back, but for different reasons. If a well-regarded show was cancelled before its time, a reboot can finally explore its full story and give it the ending it deserved. And if a show had potential but didn’t quite work, a reboot offers a chance to fix its problems. The original series can serve as a lesson, letting a new team build the version of the story it always should have been.
